Free Music Notes for Living The Secret Everyday: My Secret MeditationFree Music Review: Potential to truly make a difference Hit: 4 Stars
I have been looking for a mediation CD that would provide relaxation and at the same time help to focus my thoughts in a positive, productive manner and I feel that this CD does just that. I have used "The Secret" video as a training video for my sales and office staff to help teach them to focus their thoughts on the positive and what CAN be done as opposed to what can't. This CD is a great way to back up that lesson on a daily basis.
The CD helps a novice listener learn to relax, to focus on a spirit of gratitude, to apply daily affirmations and finally to truly live "The Secret" philosophy of positive thought and expectation. It is a powerful message if taken in at one setting but also has huge potential when take in bite-sized chunks as needed through out the day. I have instructed my managers to load the messages on their iPods and when the day gets too hectic for them, to take a few moments to close the office door and listen to one or more of the messages to refocus their energy and thoughts. For people who are new to the idea of "mediation" and "positive affirmation," it is a great tool to introduce them to and sell them on the concept because the messages are so simple and straight forward.
The overall message is nothing new in the school of positive thought but it does relay the message in an easily digestible format that provides a great introduction to the school of thought as well as providing a new source for those who were raised up on the message. Definately worth the investment if used on a regular basis.
Free Music Review: Did I get the same Cd as everyone else? Hit: 2 Stars
I guess if you are a beginning meditator or haven't been exposed to other recordings you would like this one. The content is good but the delivery needs work. I thought it was by Joanne Scaglione but she only performs the soft music in the background. Instead it is read by a gentleman who has the microphone too close to his mouth. You can hear paper shuffling and nostril breathing as he goes through the delivery. Other than that it has very good affirmations and postive directions and I really like that they use a cardboard sleeve to hold the CD instead of unrecyclable plastic casings.
I have and love both of Kelly Howells 'The Secret' Universal Mind Meditations. After reading all the glowing reviews for this "secret" cd I was really looking forward to receiving it.
Perhaps I'm just biased toward good production after being spoiled by Kelly's recordings, which are very high quality recordings.
Free Music Review: Voice is a Distraction Hit: 2 Stars
I believe that the meditations are good ones; however, the delivery is distracting. Possibly it is because the microphone is too close, but words such as "attraction" sound more like "attrashaaah," and "appreciation" sounds more like "appreshaaah." I find myself cringing every time he is about to say one of these key words--certainly not a state conducive to meditation. I'll take more care before ordering another cd by this author.
Free Music Review: it was OK Hit: 2 Stars
I agree with the other writers. This CD was just ok. The voice that narrates the CD is very monotone and the lessons to meditate on are repetitive.
