Free Music Review: Lo Pro = Ultraspank lite

As I am sure most everyone will mention in their review, Lo Pro is made up of some former memebers of Ultraspank (singer & guitarist). While vocally this CD sounds very close to Ultraspank, the similarities really end there. Lo Pro is more of a hard rock band and doesn't have any of the driving, aggressive metal elements that defined Ultraspank. This is really the only thing that bothered me a little about Lo Pro because Ultraspank was a fantastic band, but then again they are not the same band. Lo Pro focuses much more only melody as is the style w/ hard rock bands nowadays. While this CD probably won't be considered the very best rock album around, it is certainly very good, and Lo Pro have shown that they should be considered among the elite in modern hard rock (above Stone Sour at least).Anyway, the Amazon samples give you a good idea of what their sound is like. They also have full-length songs on their website. The best track without a doubt is "Sunday", but there are many other good ones here as well.
