Free Music Review: A masterpiece.
Hit: 5 Stars

This brilliant Italian progressive outfit made this recording in 1977 and then disapeared for over twenty years. A pity, as this recording is a classic. It stands equally with the finest of PFM, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Le Orme, Museo Rosenbach and other Italian progressive greats. The musicianship, compositions, vocals(in Italian) and production are all exceptional. Where there is a strong melodic sense throughout the arrangements are quite complex and rich. Not a weak cut in the entire 54 minutes of music. A must have for any prog fan, Italian or otherwise....Simon

Free Music Review: Last italian masterpiece
Hit: 5 Stars

When I heard this the first time it completely blew me away! The performance is so tight, so skilfull, top-notch all over. The songs have loads of great time changes and themes and everything you want from a progressive album. Dont be fooled by the late year: 1977, this IS a masterpiece. Some songs are faster with a hard energy and some more mellow with the most beuatiful keyboards and themes you can imagine. The singer has a very expressive and passionate voice. This recording wont disappoint any fan of good italian prog.

Free Music Review: yes, it's a masterpiece!
Hit: 5 Stars

Locanda Delle Fate is one heck of a fantastic band, let me tell you that right now. Some of the prettiest vocals, flutes, piano, and melodies you can possibly imagine. This album in particular sounds like it was influenced by Jethro Tull in some spots, but it's mostly focused on the Italian prog rock scene that was really popular in that country at the time. Pure beauty from beginning to end, Forse le Lucciole is an album that anyone who appreciates progressive rock needs to own.

Free Music Review: Italian Gem
Hit: 5 Stars

This is yet another unheralded progressive rock masterpiece, and one of the great prog albums ever. This is certainly one of the top five Italian prog albums I have ever heard, and perhaps my personal favorite. It's certainly up there with the work of Banco, Le Orme and PFM, if not better. A great place to start exploring Italian progressive rock too.. very accessible, melodic and symphonic. Beautiful vocals and awe-inspriring arrangements.

Free Music Review: Beautiful Italian Progressive
Hit: 5 Stars

This is one of the great pieces of progressive music. It is not as adventurous as many progressive cds, but it is richly textured and highly structured, with great musicianship throughout. It is also deeply intense and emotional music. If you are a progressive music fan or a classical music fan, or an open-minded fan of music in general, this is music that you will enjoy for a lifetime. You will rarely spend your money more wisely!
