Free Music Review: Simply Brilliant!
Hit: 5 Stars

I was a singer in the business for almost 50 years and worked with some very fine singers. Ms. Brightman is nothing short of brilliant on this CD. I've been listening to it for over three years and never tire of it. Many have mentioned Bocelli on this recording, a very fine tenor. However, I believe Jose Curas matches Brightman perfectly with one of the most brilliant tenor voices I've ever heard. I believe there are many fine opera singers who would kill to have Brightman's voice and presentation. The London Symphony creates a brilliant backdrop. A must have recording if you love pure singing talent.

Free Music Review: Time for Miss Brightman...
Hit: 5 Stars

Here's your unconventional soprano! Sarah Brightman puts to shame all the critics who claim that a deep, throaty vibrato marks a true soprano. Her voice is a lucid, unearthly beautiful instrument almost childlike in its purity, and the songs to which she puts her voice are a clever mix of modern and opera. Honestly, who does not feel his/her heart stir when hearing "Time to Say Goodbye"? I am very sorry that Miss Brightman's fame is not justified by her talent; indeed, in the United States her reputation is hardly of any mention...but then again, in the music business, who's to say true talent overrides that of successful marketing and appearance? It's only us, the pitiful customers, who can sincerely hear Sarah sing and appreciate the work of this mysterious artist...Forget Charlotte Church, here's the voice of an angel.

Free Music Review: the unnamed vocalist
Hit: 4 Stars

I've been a fan of Sarah Brightman's for many years, originally discovering her on Andrew Lloyd Webber discs and enjoying the passion with which she sang his songs. When I first listened to the song samples from this CD (Amazon[.com]? BMG?) a year after it was released, the other female artist who performs some of the tracks was named. She is not mentioned on the CD itself, I discovered when I bought it. Both artists have exceptionally lovely voices, but they are easily distinguished. If I'd known the name of the other would "disappear," I would have made a note of it.

Free Music Review: Angel of Music!
Hit: 5 Stars

A stunning work by Sarah! All of the songs were done so beautifully! It would make more sense for the title track to be towards the end, but its just fine where it is.

The highlights are:
No one like you (it sounds as if she is singing to somebody),

Just show me how to love you (Jose Cura's voice is stunning!),

In pace (the piece's beauty had me at peace),

There for me,

Bilitis generique (it's so relaxing),

La Wally, aka Ebben?... ne andro lontana (this is a dark, cold, very epic piece),

Naturaleza muerta(a tragic love ballad. This piece is softer and non-operatic, but it is still an epic piece.),

En Aranjuez con tu amor (a soaringly beautiful and romantic piece!),

In trutina (try listening to this tranquil piece on a cloudy or rainy day).

The whole cd is a gem! This soprano knows her music! As for Time to Say Goodbye, all other tracks pale when compared to it. Remarkable! The abrupt ending really adds to it! Sarah's angelic, spirit-like voice and beauty are enchanting!
