Well, it is a holiday recording but......
For those of us who need to own all of Loreenas material this work is a must.
I have allways wanted to hear Loreena sing "Star of the County Down" and was suprised by the treatment with "Seven Rejoices of Mary". I think she consider singing it.
A winter garden only suffered from being short, this work compleats the circle.

As a huge fan of Loreena McKennitt's unique and captivating style, I had high expectations for this production. She exceeded my expectations with this one. I love this cd so much and will probably listen to it all year long. She is so talented and so original. I adore Lorenna McKennitt. I started listening to her about 12 years ago and there is no one that even comes close to her. I also love Christmas music. I have just under 100 Christmas CDs and this was my instant favorite. Emmanuel is incredibly simple and incredibly beautiful. Thanks Lorenna. What a gorgeous collection of songs! Choose a quiet spot and just sit, letting this music pour through your soul...enchanting. My favorite is
"Noel Nouvelet!" sung in ancient French. Loreena is a uniquely talented
artist, taking you away to another time and another place. Exquisite, and not just for Christmas.

And the result is four thumbs up !!!
All songs in this album are well recorded, smooth and enjoy.
Now I am drinking 4 bottles of beer and enjoy listen to her musics repeatly... indeed wonderful music.
