Free Music Notes for Midwinter Night's DreamFree Music Review: The Best of the Season Hit: 5 Stars
I purchased Sarah Brightman, Enya, and Loreena McKennitt this Christmas. Loreena McKennitt's is the only one that did not disappoint me. If you only have money for one, this is it. It is beautiful, not over processed, over mixed, or over commercial. She takes old stuff and makes it beautiful and new.
Free Music Review: Love This CD Hit: 5 Stars
This cd doesn't disappoint and sure isn't your same ol' Christmas melodies. They are unusual, ethereal, and varied. This women is very talented and it shows in the cd. I know everyone loves Enya's "And Winter Came" this season, but I think I would choose "A Midwinter Night's Dream" as my favorite.
Free Music Review: Loreena's back on the harp ! Hit: 5 Stars
If you like Loreena McKennett, I love her voice !
You must own this CD, not a Christmasy CD by no means
It's a studio CD, beautifully mastered.
You must listen to the instrumental "Breton Carol" most peaceful piece of music.
Most importantly, Loreena's back on the harp !
Free Music Review: Pleasant Christas Album Hit: 5 Stars
I'm new to the Loreena McKennitt collection, but I"m finding her music to be quite pleasant. This album combines an almost Celtic haunting sound with traditional music. The effect is impressive. My personal favorite is the Wassailing song. I've listened to it over and over.
Free Music Review: Beautiful Christms CD Hit: 5 Stars
I've always loved Loreena McKennitt's music, and I definitely wasn't disappointed this time. I think my favorite song on this one is the Seven Rejoices of Mary. If you want a good CD for Christmas, this is it. I also recommend To Drive the Cold Winter Away, also by Loreena.
