It's sometimes hard to forget that aside from David Hildago's crisp and beautiful vocals and Cesar Rosas' more bluesy and deep vocal sound that this band can really play. They are much more than a band that records great records but a classic group of techically superior musicians who can really play and jam. This live album catches them not just with their excellent vocal abilities but includes long sections of intrumental where the band just jams with soulful passion and the sound quality is just fantastic. If you are looking for just songs dominated by the vocals of Hildago and Perez, you may be intially disappointed but if you want to hear a great band play, jam musically 'with" great vocals you won't be disappointed. The most familar song from this 1997 tour collection is Evangeline but the more you play the CD,you will appreciate all the tunes. If you are going on a long drive, plug it in, enjoy the total band, you'll have a nice ride. Now if they would just tour more on the east coast.
