Free Music Notes for Live at the FilmoreFree Music Review: LIVE... Hit: 5 Stars
recorded live. But nothing at all compares to seeing LLB put on a live show.
This is the next best thing.
For those of you who have the original (2003) CD (not the 1998), here's more of our favorites, with a different acoustic setting, and the subtle variations that make any LLB concert a new thing.
The other reviewers have done a pretty good job of filling in all the blanks, and Rooster, this LONELIE sez Oh Hell Yeah from Austin.
While we are waiting for the new album later this year, this one will give you something more to enjoy.
The only technical flaw I find in this album is that the tracks were cut strangely - the intro to ONDA is cut as if it were part of DIME MI AMOR.
Pick it up and give it a spin!
Free Music Review: They've kicked it up a notch or more Hit: 5 Stars
"BAM" as Emeril would say. Los Lonely Boys have kicked it up a notch. If their debut cd was a "10" this is, as they say in Spinal Tap, "An Eleven". Very intense yet beautiful, as ripping guitar work from Henry Garza intertwines with the tight vocal harmonies. Mostly songs from their debut are played on this cd but at another level. In addition there is "La Bamba". I've never heard anybody do it better, "Cisco Kid" and their own original and fan favorite "Man to Beat". This cd will be on my player for a long time to come. There is no better music today than the "Texican Rock & Roll" on this "live" cd.
Free Music Review: crazy dream......... Hit: 5 Stars
if only the music business would wake up and realize that bands like los lonely boys and not the backstreet boys are the real deal. this is my rock and roll album of the year. from the opening song "crazy dream" through the last "heaven" this record is as hot as a texas barbeque in the middle of summer and just as smokin!! "more than love" is a beautiful acappella ballad while "onda" is a guitar lovers nirvana. this record duplicates most of the songs from their first cd but the difference is night and day. this band comes alive on stage and this cd catches that magic. heaven indeed.
Free Music Review: Doesn't Disappoint Hit: 5 Stars
It's difficult putting Los Lonely Boys into a musical category and this CD highlights that. They take you from Santana, Los Lobos to Stevie Ray & Richie Valens. This live CD has a tight sound with incredible contributions both instrumentally and vocally. They hit those harmonies that only genetics can seem to master. You definately don't have to be a Lonely Boys fan to appreciate the music, but be warned you will be a fan after listening. This trio of brothers is going somewhere - get the CD and enjoy the ride.
