Free Music Notes for Los Lonely Boys

Free Music Review: Sounds like Ricky Martin
Hit: 2 Stars

I bought the cd because of the grammy nominations, man am I dissapointed. I know Ricky Martin's producer produced this cd, but was it necessary to make ALL the back vocals sound like Ricky Martin?? After the first song, I though "it was ok" then after 2 or 3 songs I got tired of the same back vocals.
I give it 2 stars, just because the sound quality is really good.

I probably should have just used the money to put gas in my car instead of buying this cd.

Free Music Review: Hollywood
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, I haven't read all these reviews, but so far I have seen no mention of Hollywood. Man, that song is addicting! Even after playing it over and over, it still sounds so heartfelt. Well done, young men. I look forward to sharing your future career.

Free Music Review: Fun Road & Dancing Music
Hit: 4 Stars

These guys are from a town near me, San Angelo, Texas. Even if they weren't, I'd still like the CD. It has some really catchy tunes that are just plain fun to listen to and a blast to dance to. A couple of tracks are mildly forgettable, but the rest are good listening music. Very nice harmonies. Worth the money spent.

Free Music Review: Excellent debut album
Hit: 5 Stars

Being in my 50's, a musician (drummer) and having seen many rock/blues bands live, such as Hendrix, Cream, Zep, Who, Santana, Allman Bros, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc. I'll attest to Los Lonely Boy's fine sense of melody and great harmonies in the best rock tradition.

The craftmanship of the songs and level of playing reveal a real feel for music. Which should be expected since the three brothers (the drummer's real name is Ringo!) grew up backing their father's band. All musicians, from Beethoven to the Beatles are influenced by previous musicians, no musician creates in a vacuum. You can hear that Los Lonely Boys influences were Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Allman Brothers and the Beatles. Their vocal harmonies are tight and remind me of the Beatles, especially Dimi Mi Amore. And the songs are so tunefull and fun or pasionate. Their Spanish blood gives them a romantic feel and and sense of longing to their singing. Come to think of it, Los Lonely Boys is a very appropriate name for the band; if ever a band's name matched their musical style, it's Los Lonely Boys. Like Santana, they put a lot of feeling into their music.

Hey, if Paul McCartney has played with them and praised them, as has Santana and Willie Nelson (he plays on a few songs on the album as well as Los Lonely Boys being his opening act), then you know they are the real deal.

Free Music Review: Garbage !
Hit: 1 Stars

If you want Stevie Ray or Santana, buy it, don't support some cheap knock off. I can hardly wait till these losers fade away. Any comparison to Los Lobos is hilarious are those guys are real musicians, unlike these punks who should just plain shut up. Don't waste your money on this trash. Basura Amigo !
