Free Music Notes for Los Lonely BoysFree Music Review: Blazing Guitar Hit: 5 StarsHere is a band that knows how to play music. I really don't like any music from about 1990 on but these guys are awesome. A group of brothers that just flat out jam like their guitar is on fire. I really like this entire album with no weak spots. It's hard to believe that this came out in 2004 when it has the sound of some great 70s classic rock. I see a bright future for this band if they so choose. They are a million times better then most other bands out right now like Greenday (who sucks). Great music here.
Free Music Review: True Love at First Hear Hit: 5 StarsLOS LONELY BOYS, the self-titled album by three twenty something brothers from Texas, is jam packed with indescribably beautiful music that's one part rock & roll, one part country, one part Chicano, one part lullaby and 200 parts stone-cold gorgeous.
Because I'm a big hip hop fan who loves Pavoratti, I don't often find myself in this aisle of the music store. (And by the way what aisle is this?) But a friend gave me this CD and after letting it sit, collecting dust for over a year, I popped it into the stereo on a whim. What a wonderful surprise.
Almost like love at first hear, I found myself bopping along to literally every tune, as though I had grown on this music.
These guys are amazing singers, musicians and song writers. Bilingual, they often switch back and forth from English lyrics to Spanish ad libs. Plus it contains two versions of More Than Love, one in English and the other in Spanish -- which reminds the listener of their Texican roots.
Double sided, this CD features 12 songs on one side and 8 videos on the other. Some are acoustic and reveal just how talented (not to mention charming) this band is.
Because I know so little about country, rock & rock and Mexican-twinged music, it is almost impossible for me to accurately liken this band's sound to anyone else's, but if forced to I'd say Sting. Not because it sounds like Sting's music, but because it has that same soothing lullaby feel that comforts and convinces you've heard these songs all of your life. Plus the writing is smart and the rhythms infectious.

Free Music Review: The guitar!! Hit: 5 StarsHenry Garza is really good, like a combintion of Santana and SRV, adding some personal style.
Free Music Review: See them LIVE...Unbelievable talent! Hit: 5 Stars I just saw them live, and if you think they sound good on the CD, then you gotta check them out in concert. Henry is without a doubt a guitarist to be reckoned with. You can here the undertones of SRV in some of his riffs, but he has a unique sound of his own which sets him apart from his mentors.
For a 3 piece band they put out a full sound that you expect from a much larger group. Their harmonies are as crisp as their recordings. They are definately in sync with each other's vibe and the end result is a show that gets you on your feet.
In a day where egos are bigger than life with some of these short lived musicians, there is no doubt that Los Lonely Boys will be around for a long time to come. This family sticks together. It's plain to see and very refreshing.
Free Music Review: It Doesn't Get Much Better Than This Hit: 4 StarsWhat can I say about Los Lonely Boys that hasn't already been said. Superb musicianship that pays tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Carlos Santana without sounding like copycats. Henry's guitar work is a thing of beauty as are the vocal harmonies that brothers achieve. Jo Jo and Ringo are equally as talented. Los Lonely Boys is one tight band. This kind of bond is only achieved after years of playing and paying your dues. Being brothers and growing up together musically makes the band even closer. Stevie, I'm sure is looking down and smilin'.
