Free Music Notes for Los Lonely BoysFree Music Review: TABASCO FOR THE EARS!!!!! Hit: 5 Stars
Like Los Lonelies say during their shows, this is pure "Texican" Rock 'n Roll. If Los Lobos' sons had a band this would be them. This band has put little ol' San Angelo, Texas on the map. This CD shakes and bakes with vintage R&B tones and rocks with the best of them. It's been way too long for a cd of this caliber to come along. There's influences from Carlos Santana to SRV. Everybody's talking about "Heaven", but what about "Crazy Dream" and "Real Emotion"?. wowza! Yes, they jam...on every song!! And some sweet harmonies. Great production kudos to John Porter. Awesome to see Los Boys thank Chris Duarte and Omar Dykes (Omar & the Howlers)! See them live and they'll blow you away. Look for their DVD this summer!! They are worth a 200 mile drive to see live if they don't come to your town.
Free Music Review: Incredibly Addictive Music! Hit: 5 Stars
I've been listening to LLB's CD so many times that I'd normally be sick to death of it, but I can't seem to hear it enough! I don't even listen to the radio anymore because I'm playing this CD constantly.
I introduced my 24-year old daughter to LLB when we attended their concert at Knoxville's fabulous restored Tennessee Theater (it was her first concernt and it had been 33 years since I went to one, but it was me who invited her to go). LLB gave a fantastic performance, which included several brand new songs and announced that a new CD is due out soon. I can't wait to buy that one, too!
I graduated from high school in the early 70s and loved Santana and Stevie Ray Vaughn, so getting addicted to LLB is like getting to relive my youth :) Thanks, LLB!

Free Music Review: These Guys are How Old? Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this CD because of "Heaven" and to support my fellow Texan musicians. I expected to get stuck with a one-hit wonder CD. Not the case at all!!! These guys are incredible! You can definitely hear the SRV and Santana influences. But rather than just copying and combining sounds, the boys take their influences and build them into something fresh and highly addictive. I've owned this CD for 4 days and I'm already annoying my neighbor with it, playing it over, and over, and over. Can't believe the boys are all under the age of 25. They've got a unity that can only come from walking out of the same womb with instrument in hand and immediately joining the family band. Tight vocals. Even tighter riffs. If they sound this great now, can't wait to hear them in 10 years!
Free Music Review: See them LIVE...Unbelievable talent! Hit: 5 Stars
I just saw them live, and if you think they sound good on the CD, then you gotta check them out in concert. Henry is without a doubt a guitarist to be reckoned with. You can here the undertones of SRV in some of his riffs, but he has a unique sound of his own which sets him apart from his mentors.
For a 3 piece band they put out a full sound that you expect from a much larger group. Their harmonies are as crisp as their recordings. They are definately in sync with each other's vibe and the end result is a show that gets you on your feet.
In a day where egos are bigger than life with some of these short lived musicians, there is no doubt that Los Lonely Boys will be around for a long time to come. This family sticks together. It's plain to see and very refreshing.
Free Music Review: Awesome! What Talent! Hit: 5 Stars
I am thrilled with this CD! These guys are the best! The music is
SO soulful and they are SO musically talented with so much charisma. These guys are serious musicians, not just out to make a buck. I love them and their music! I can't wait to see them next month in Asheville! They are SO deserving! Henry's playing IS influenced by SRV and Santana, and he doesn't deny that, but he doesn't just imitate; he makes it his own. JoJO is a super bass player and these guys are great at harmonizing. Ringo is a good strong drummer and it seems to come so effortlessly to him. I love More Than Love, Heaven, and really, there are no bad songs on here. These guys deserve whatever success they get. Really. You can't go wrong with this kind of talent and we certainly don't see this everyday!
