Free Music Notes for Los Lonely BoysFree Music Review: Their music really speaks to me Hit: 5 StarsI seldom get this excited about popular music, but Los Lonely Boys have it all -- great voices, great musicians, and a wonderful total sound. I've always leaned toward rock with a little jazz and blues sound, and southern rock, and these boys seem to somehow blend it all beautifully -- and with that special Latin flavor that we're all enjoying so much. A little Clapton/Santana sound to their music that really speaks to me. And their harmonizing is really a joy to hear. I imagine they must really rip it up live -- they really make you want to MOVE! I look forward to seeing where their talent will take them! I can listen to this CD over and over -- highly recommended!
Free Music Review: Loved It From Start To Finish Hit: 5 StarsGreat music, good talent, good lyrics, good beat, etc. I was surprised that I enjoyed the entire CD -- this is not usually the case when you buy a CD based on one song. The music is relaxing and uplifting at the same time. Sort of Latino folk with some country and jazz thrown in. I love the CD and anxiously await the next.
Free Music Review: Los Lobos Lite Hit: 1 StarsThese guys are so overrated and can't touch the real Tex-Mex band of Los Lobos
Free Music Review: Great New talent Hit: 4 StarsLos Lonely boys are one of the best new acts out to come out. Not since los lobos has a Latino group made such a great impact on rock and roll. They have their own unique sound, and I believe have a great future ahead of them I would defintely buy their next album, and will see them in concert some day when they get the chance to be in L.A.
Free Music Review: Finally, a new band that doesn't suck Hit: 4 StarsI didn't know about this band until my wife took me to see them at Hampton beach for Father's Day. I was very surprised. Santana's son's band opened up for them and I must say they were just all wrong. Too many different styles mixed into a mess, but LLB was fabulous! All of the people that say they are a rip off of real musicians should get a life. Stevie was influenced by Hendrix, so when he played Voodoo Chile was it a rip off? I remember a friend who was a Hendrix fiend thought that until he heard SRV. The apologies never stopped and the thanks for showing him was always mentioned. To say that there is no soul in this band is unfounded. I can't even listen to the radio anymore because of all the no soul, no talent, metal head, teenybopper trash, rap and so called R & B ( Rythm and BLUES!!!) that is on the waves these days. I remember back in the eighties when all of the pop stuff was on and that fateful day came when I heard that first Stevie Ray lick and had to stop my car to listen and find out who the Hell that was. This band was similar. Not to say tht they are as good as SRV, but I mean really! A BAND THAT PLAYS MUSIC! No looping aerobics class beat. No whiny just into puberty chick singing about her boy toys. No pissed off headbanger trying to start a fight, Just three talented singer/ musicians bringing their own style of music taken from great influences and sending out for us. Truly a band on their way up. I can't wait to hear more stuff to see how these guys grow musically and master their sound. AND PRAISE TO GOD ALMIGHTY THAT THEY NEVER FORGET THEIR INFLUENCES!!!
