Free Music Notes for Los Lonely BoysFree Music Review: Blues from Texas Hit: 5 Stars
First of all, I am in the USAF, and have travelled all over the place, seeing different bands performing. And I have always liked the blues... preferrably in the blues rock genre... but it was last year when I bought a ticket in San Antonio texas to see 15 bands for like 20 bucks... sounded like a good deal.
Well, LLB were the third or fouth act, and I was blown away. They played a majority of these songs... and all were incredibly good... in the vein of SRV or EC (at his best) and very entertaining indeed.
This CD is a good snapshot of the LLB, but also go out and see the fellas live, for that is the real blast.
I can't wait for a live album by these fellas.
Have fun
Free Music Review: Love the 5 Stars
The Lonely Boys have a style of music I have been waiting for! This is the best group I have heard in years! They are Texas Boys that make me, feel proud to be a Texan and Hispanic all at one time! I like the combination of spanish and english words in the songs and the feel of the acoustics in the music. A little bit of Santana rythim,a little bit of Stevie Ray Vaughn rythim, and the groups own style just puts the icing on the cake! Finally! Finally! is the word that I have said since I brought the cd. I enjoye it everytime I play the cd. And so far people that I come across have told me "who are those guys" I proudly say "The Lonely Boys! They are from Texas and the video HEAVEN on VH1- is now in the top 10 video.
Free Music Review: Great stuff! Hit: 5 Stars
I remember I first saw these guys on MTV back in May
and I'm be honest and I say I wrote them off without
hearing them! I figured that since they where on MTV
they must suck.... Boy did I turn out to be wrong! This
is a very deep album from start to finish! Obviousally
"Heaven" is the best tune here... But if you listened to
"Crazy Dream" you would swear that Stevie Ray Vaughan has
risen! I'm not trying to pigeon hole the band by saying
they seem to be influenced by Vaughan and Santana.. But
you can just hear it in the music. The best tracks are:
-Heaven
-Velvet Sky
-Onda
-Senorita
If you like blues music pickup this cd!
Free Music Review: The Closest Thing To Heaven Itself... Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this CD solely on the basis of a performance by "Los Boys" on the 2005 Grammy Awards. Sometimes I am a latecomer to new music and that was the first time I heard "Heaven."
My jaw dropped.
I had to hear more, so I rushed out and bought "Los Lonely Boys." It has been a staple in my CD player ever since.
The album begins with a bang with "Senorita" and doesn't stop.
My favorites cuts include, "More Than Love", "Hollywood", "Nobody Else", "Tell Me Why", and of course, "Heaven."
I realize I have named practically every tune on the disc, but hey, this thing is magical.
If you are not a fan of "Los Boys", this CD will make you a true believer.
Free Music Review: Los Lonely Boys Rock! Hit: 5 Stars
Los Lonely Boys have brought music back into my life. I had practically stopped listening to the radio. All I was hearing was rap or songs with rap in them. Then I heard Heaven. I liked it so much I bought the cd thinking that there may be one or at the most two good songs on it. Was I pleasantly surprised! These three brothers from Texas have put out a cd that has not one bad song on it. I listen to it constantly and never have to skip a song that I dont like. I have purchased the cd for friends and all have loved it. Now, I am anxiously awaiting their new cd which will be out this fall. If you are debating whether to get this cd...do it! You will fall in love with LLB and Texican Rock and Roll!
