Some of the tracks are instrumentals. Other tracks have lirics in Spanish and even in African dialects, but what is important is the MUSIC. It does not matter if you speak the language or not. The music will carry you to heaven. The African's rithms with the Spanish roots are the core of Cuban music. Music is the soul of Cuba. The sound in this product is fantastic.Sounds and rithms here will put joy in any lover of popular latin music. As for Cubans, it will bring joy and tears.This is the music that has been succesful and influencial all over the world for decades and decades. Today, due to political situation, Cuba cries under communism, but its music make billions in the world dance frenziedly. The commercial name Salsa just tries to condense what really is: Cuban Music. Most of my life I've been content saying I was Cuban. However, I really don't know much about my Cuba since I was born in 1958 and left my country in 1961. The heritage I've gained has been fortified by my relatives who raised me here in the U.S. The Lost City Soundtrack rekindles my Cuban spirit with music my relatives played for me as a child. It's an important piece of music anthology for anyone who needs a spirit lift -- especially if you want to reminisce about the happiest days of your life. And for those who have no need for that "spirit lifting," but just like good music, I recommend you buy this CD and listen to where the "Salsa Music" roots come from and the proud African and Spanish Cultures intertwine.Free Music Review: Then and Now

This music is Timeless, I literally have been listening to this 'CD' non stop since i received it. It has every song featured on the film, a film which all cubans whom have imigrated to the US and beyond can relate to. I have sat down and played the "cd" during a game of domino with my grandmother and her best friend of 96 yrs in age, they loved it. I was raised in California and too young to remember when we imigrated to the U.S. But, this CD brings to life all the memories of family gatherings and stories my family has shared with me. This movie is one of the most beautiful movies I have seen in a long time. During the watching of the film I noticed, more than a few times, the music. That is what inspired me to purchase the soundtrack. I watched the movie with my mom, and she, too, was inspired by the music. It was right around Mother's Day that we saw the film so I placed an order for two soundtrack CD's of the Lost City. My mom and I both love the composition and mood that the music has to offer. Puedo escribir en ingles mis comentarios pero lo haré en español porque solo asi puedo expresar con todo el corazon lo que siento cada vez que escucho estos CDs.
Soy venezolano pero he crecido escuchando la musica cubana y esta produccion me ha traido muchos recuerdos de mi niñez.
Sencillamente solo se escucha EXCELENCIA en todo la produccion y felicitaciones a Andy Garcia por haberla hecho posible.
