As a kid my parents had "CALL OF THE WILDEST". I used to listen to this album all the time and really loved Keely Smith's version of Autumn Leaves. I have tried over the years to find that song and couldn't, so needless to say when I found the CD on your site I was very happy.
Thank You, my only wish is that my parents were still alive to hear the album, they so loved Louie and Keely.

Call of the Wildest/Wildest Show at Tahoe Poster
Louis Prima's earliest recordings for Capitol--mid-'50s albums that featured the bandleader in the stellar company of vocalist-wife Keely Smith and saxophonist Sam Butera--are arguably his very best. And though single tunes from this period are often reissued on compilations, this import is the only available CD featuring Prima's prime Capitol albums in their entirety--and it's a knockout. You simply can't ask for two better Prima LPs than The Call of the Wildest and the concert recording The Wildest Show at Tahoe. The Call, Prima's second effort for Capitol, features too many memorable moments to mention--Keely Smith breaking into a short scat on "Autumn Leaves," the horn intro to "Blow, Red, Blow," Prima's phrasing on "Closest to the Bone"--it's the pinnacle of their studio recordings. The Wildest Show features several classic Prima medleys, Keely in top form (again), and some of Butera's greatest sax moments, all performed live. This is what lounge culture should be all about: great playing, humor, and memorable songs.
