This CD is a good overview of Louis' works with his big swing orchestra from the 1940s. It has one of his big hits from the time period, "Robin Hood," one of the many Italian/novelty tunes he recorded. Also featured is Keely in an early appearance singing "I don't Care if the sun Don't Shine." Her voice sounds young here, but still very solid and delectable. Louis sings on a few of the songs, and adds his rough-house charm to "The White Cliffs of Dover" (though a clearer version can be found on "Remember: Louis Prima and his Orchestra") and his own composition "Oh, Babe!" These songs, more than anything, showcase Louis' trumpet playing and song arranging abilities. Numbers such as "The Blizzard," "Boogie in The Bronx," and "Brooklyn Boogie" are fine examples of how only Prima could add a certain touch to a song, even with a larger outfit.
