I bought this double album on vinyl around 40 years ago. It's still in great shape due to the fact that I've hardly ever played it. Every now and then I throw it on the turntable to see if there are a few cuts I can put on a compilation cd. So far, Signed D.C. is the only song that's been burned. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I gave the album one more shot, but I'm still underwhelmed.
I'm Down, Gather Round, and I Still Wonder are three decent tracks. Stand Out sounds like Jimi Hendrix singing to Roger McGuinn's Byrds.
Now, the bad. Discharged was probably meant to be poignantly funny, but unfortunately it is pathetically funny. Doggone is a decent song until the overdone jam, and the drum solo is a nice curiosity. Love Is More is also fair- until THAT song's overdone jam. Nice To Be was evidently Arthurly (as he wanted to be known then) pretending to be Frank Sinatra. Car Lights On In The Daytime Blues is a country sendup that, at a minute and ten seconds, is moderately amusing, but you'll press "skip" the next time you hear it.
(If I haven't mentioned the other songs it is because they're not worth mentioning.)
