Free Music Review: Lyrics and Music are Great
Hit: 5 Stars

Even if you don't know French, the music and the performers are exquisite. Being a French major, I just recently translated the lyrics, and I was surprised at how more beautiful it sounded. The story was wonderfully adapted into a musical and the performances are absolutely stunning. Among my favorites are Patrick Fiori's "Dechire", Daniel Lavoie's "Tu vas me detruire", Garou's "Dieu que le monde est injuste", and of course Noa's "Bohemienne" and "Vivre". Another song that one might overlook because it's her only song on the album is Julie Zenatti's "La monture", which I believe is the best song on the entire album. Overall, I would say this is the best musical soundtrack I have ever heard.

Free Music Review: Amazing
Hit: 5 Stars

Althougth the alblum is in french the actors and actresses sing the songs with such passion and emotion it amazes you. Noa's portrayal of the Gypsy Girl Esmeralda is amazing. Her songs are filled with emotion. She knows exactly what emotions to use. During Bohemienne she's singing happily and seductively but in Vivre which is one of the songs near to when she's going to be killed u can hera the fear in her voice. The same goes for all the actors and actresses in the show. Luck Mervil and Garou are amazing. If your considering getting any Notre Dame De Paris soundtrack get this one or the live French Alblum!

Free Music Review: Spectacular in every sense of the word!
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD was recommended on a foreign language teacher's listserv, and when I first played it I was completely blown over! I felt tingles down my spine listening to Bruno Pelletier's "Le temps des cathédrales." (I just received another of his CD's that are thankfully available on Amazon.) This guy has a voice that's to die for! "Bohémienne" is another favorite; in fact, I love them all!... I'm going to buy another copy for a gift!

If you love musicals in general, you'll love this one, even if you don't understand French! Great music transcends borders!

Free Music Review: None better
Hit: 5 Stars

I first saw this musical in my French class...we were watching it because we had nothing else to do, and on came Bruno singing "Le Temps des Cathedrales" and I was absoluted mesmerized by this music and the intensity of the words and the dramatic climbs and outstanding beats... after the first song I went out and bought the CD... I would recommend this to anyone who has an appreciation for music...even if you don't know French... I haven't heard the english version yet, but I'm perfectly fine listening the the French, emotions have no language barriers.

Free Music Review: Excellent
Hit: 5 Stars

I became interested in purchasing this CD when the song "Danse Mon Esmeralda" was performed by an Ice Dance French couple at the exhibitions of the 2000 World Figure Skating Championships. I do not speak any French, but I want to learn. This soundtrack of the Notre Dame de Paris is awesome. There's not one single song that I would say I didn't like. All the songs are wonderful and I can't count the times I've listened to this CD since I purchased it. The music crosses the language barrier. I recommend this CD to anyone who reads this review.
