I admit, I was a little skeptical at first, but I find that Lucy Pearl is a smooth combination of styles. I may be a bit bias because I 'm a Bay Area native and both 3T and EnVogue are Bay Area sounds but the blend of East Coast and West Coast (Ali from TCQ supplyies the funky beats) provides a perfect balance. The first three tracks hooked me, then I was pulled in further by tracks like "Everyday," "Good Love," "Don't Mess with My Man," and "You." This Cd is a great combination of all three talents. I am not really into R&B music but I liked their first single so I gave it a shot. I was very surprised. It is so good. I don't have to skip any songs on this one. A great cd from start to finish.Free Music Review: Wonderful Sounds

I am a big fan of En Vogue and Toni, Toni, Toni. My husband is a big hip-hop fan of Tribe and bought me the cd as a birthday present. It's been two weeks now, and I can't seem to get enough. The melodies are original, soothing, refreshing, and very different from the current trend of "pop R&B" you hear on the radio. A must have for every R&B fan. Overall Lucy Pearl is great! These three talinted former members of top R&B groups of the past decade sound great together! The best is when both of the singers sing on the same songs. How meny groups have both a male and female singer in the same group? The only problem is that the songs seem very short and that Lucy Pearl could have been more. Longer Maybe? If this is an indication of what is to come then with longer songs, Lucy Pearl could be in it for a long time. this is one super group to watch!Free Music Review: A tremendous success!

I thought this CD was excellent. If you were looking for Toni Tony Tone, En Vogue, or A Tribe Calld Quest, you were looking for the wrong thing. This album has just what the music industry needed....a fresh new sound. Raphael and Dawn compliment each other's talent perfect and Ali's beats are right on time. TWO THUMBS UP!
