Free Music Notes for Lucy PearlFree Music Review: Best R&B Album I Own Hit: 5 StarsAlthough I'm not a big fan of rap, I do enjoy the average R&B album every now and then. I bought this when it first came out, and I still listen to it. It's definitely silky smooth, without any unecessary explicit content. The intro is a good song, because it doesn't work merely as an intro alone. Trippin is a good one as well. We all know Dance Tonite, and it's memorable lyrics and beats. Hollywood is the standout for me, (cause I'm a rock guy) and I think it really shows Dawn's impressive voice. (it's sad she will not be a part of the group anymore) The new single, the one with Q-Tip is a nice song, although the appearance on Save the Last Dance is disturbing. Don't Mess With My Man was actually the second single (that didn't get much play) but it rules. The hidden song is awesome, I think it could've been put on the main playlist instead of some the weaker songs. Remember the Times is a by-the-book remininsce song that these kind of artists do a lot, but by sticking to the formula, it proves to a moving track as well. Lucy Pearl deliver a noteworthy debut, not only because they don't blend in with the whole rap culture stereotypes, but also because with the members of other bands, it's sum is better as a whole. We'll miss Dawn, but we'll have this soothing, wonderful album to hold forever.
Free Music Review: Lucy Pearl are hot!! Hit: 5 StarsFirstly, I know its an easy mistake to make but Lucy Pearl is a three-pronged group, not a solitary singer, OK?!Secondly, this album is amazing. Apart from one or two tracks this is one of those albums where you don't skip songs. The singles are a good representation of what the album's about, but it's still worth investing in. Anyone who liked ATCQ, En Vogue or Tony! Toni! Tone! will enjoy this album. Pick it up!!
Free Music Review: Keep the groove going on....and DANCE TONIGHT Hit: 5 StarsOhhhhh Yes, i like it. It's a pleasure to hear something good for my soul & for my dancing feet. Almost all track are good, the only thing i can say is that i would like longer songs. For example i would like a longer version of Dance tonight. Except this i suggest to buy this cd to the ones who loves soul & sophisticated dance music. Also this record goes togetheer with my preferred ones ,like d'Angelo, Maxwell, R.Kelly, Jill Scott, Musiq. I think this is a golden moment for the Neo-Soul Music. God Bless you all.
Free Music Review: WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hit: 5 StarsThis is a great CD. I just bought it today. I listened to the whole thing and I love it! The only song on the whole album that I don't like is "Hollywood". I like all the other songs on the whole entire album. 1) Lucy Pearl's Way: Even though this song is 2:52. I really don't think of it as a song. I still kind of think it's like an intro to the album. It's not anything amazing but it's just a normal intro. 2) Trippin: This is a hot track. I love this song. This is one of my favorite tracks on the whole CD. 3) Dance Tonight: Everybody's already heard this song. I already liked this song before the album even came out. When the song was only on the "Love & Basketball" soundtrack. 4) Lala: This is another great track. They probably are going to release this because the have a remix of it as a hidden bonus track. 5) Everday: I love this song. Another one of my favorites. 6) Can't Stand Your Mother: Another favorite. Love it. 7) Good Love: I think this song would have to be my favorite out of all of them. 8) Without You: Another big favorite that I love. 9) Don't Mess With My Man: Everybody knows this song. I think this song was my favorite before I bought the CD. But now that's changed. 10) Hollywood: Yuck. The only song on this CD that I don't like. 11) Remember The Times: This is a great song. It's about all of them growing up when they were poor and didn't haven't money. It's a great song even though the music is kind of weird. 12) They Can't: It's not one of my favorite's but it's not bad. 13) Do It For The People: This song sounds a lot like old school En Vogue. It's nice to bring back memories. 14) You: This is a great song. You probably already know it. Snoop Dogg and Q-Tip drop in on it. I've loved this song since the first day I saw the video. 15) Lucy Pearl Tells: All this is, is an outro. Nothing special. It just brings the album to close even though there's a hidden bonus track after it. HIDDEN BONUS TRACK - Lala (Remix): This track is also hot. I think I like the origanal version more though. THIS CD IS HOT. GO OUT AND BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! That is if you don't already have it.
