Free Music Review: Creative MC Does His Thing

There is no doubt that Ludacris has flavor. His rhymes (not his style) at times actually reminds me of Redman (as far as his witty punchlines). He kind of reminds me of a time when hip-hop was fun. Now, everybody wants to tell the world how hard they are. Well, before I go on a "What the hell hip-hop has come to" rampage, let me review this album. I'll give it 4.25 out of 5. This is not the stereotypical "Southern album" as most people from other regions might depict it. Luda's debut Back For The First Time seems to be one of the all time best Cds. This album is sort of like a mix of stuff. Beats to chill to. Such as..... "What's Your Fantasy". But many are very weird beats.... such as.... "Ho" or "Get Off Me" or "What's Your Fantasy (Remix)" As being a mix of beats... this CD is a masterpeice. Every track on this is awesome. But one thing sort of weird about Ludacris, is how the more albums he comes with, they are just not as good. Except this, his debut, is his best. If you don't have this CD already, then I think you have to buy it as quick as you can. Xxzibit's Top 5:

This album is # 1 on my favorite album list. It is dope. I luv the sexy lyrics on "What's Your Fantasy?" with Shawna. In fact, i think that may be the best song i have heard in my life. It is one of Luda's hits. Ludacris is my favorite rapper, that's how i got my name. I think i am obsesed with ludacris. With Ludacris' cool/funny beats, and Shawna's sexy lyrics, they make an awsome duo. Pharell Williams of the Neptunes makes an appearence on this cd. Track 14. it is the 3rd best track on this album. Out of no where (accually out of the ATL) comes an amazing debut album from Ludacris. This album is like nothing I've heard before, and it's really refreshing to here something new in the rap game. Luda really did his thing on this album, the production is outstanding, and the lyrics are just crazy. Every single song is tight, from the intro to the very last track, even the skits are funny. Ludacris definitely has that Dirty South style but he adds a real party vibe to it. Like I said every song is great but the ones that really stand out to me are: Game Got Switched, Stick Em Up, Ho, & Catch Up. If I had to compare Luda's style to anything I'd say it's a cross between Outkast and Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz. So if you like Outkast & Goodie Mob and you just like to wild out and have fun then you'll love this album.
