Free Music Review: Quit Playing the Race Card

To the review above, the first poster doesn't come across as a racist. After listening to Chicken and Beer, it doesn't sound like some of Ludacris's best material. Did you ever take into account that the reviewer probably liked Ludacris's first album? Do white people have to like everything black that comes out to keep from being labeled a racist?
There are some tracks I liked from Chicken and Beer, but songs like "Diamond in the Back" and "Stand Up" pail in comparison to his earlier material. I really liked "Hard Times" and am trying to get ahold on where he sampled it from. But overall, I can understand why people thought the album was disappointing.
We black people always think somebody's negative opinion is hating or jealousy over what the artist has. Heck, the first reviewer even had the foresight to address this before you even posted. Bottom line is "Chicken and Beer" is a mediocre attempt, and not as good as his earlier material. According to record sales, blacks and whites alike seem to think so. Case dismissed. Peace.
Free Music Review: Nothing that you haven't seen before

If you have Luda's first two album's, then there is really no reason to go get this one. For three cd's Luda does the same things over and over and over. If you like that go ahead and buy this, but if you're like me, don't bother.
From start to finish this cd feels exctly like the last two. It'll make you laugh at times, make you say whoa at times, and make you skip to the next track sometimes. Actually you'll change tracks alot with this cd. Stand up and Blow it out may be the only tracks worth listening to more than once. "Hard Times" isn't bad but definetly not good either. While "P-poppin" & "Diamond in the back" are catchy at first, then got annoying. Still, buy the "Stand Up" single, and save yourself money.
Another thing, where are the beats with these album. It's like Luda half-heartly tried to release another cd. The beats for his first two ablums were fun. This album failed to do that. The beats aren't as fun or enjoyable as his last two. He failed to make a copy of his last two albums, that is sad.
This cd is okay to listen to,once, any more and it is just boring. This cd is a disappointment. Ludacris is no doubt a great entertainer, and defintly has a way with words. Though he is appearently unable to do anything new. He should quit while he's ahead.
If he releases a cd in the future, I hope that you proves me wrong. I hope you releases a cd that can stand up to Back for the First Time or Word of Mouf, but has a new sound to it. At least, If not, he should retire instead of digging a deeper grave for himself.

I got this the week it came out, and i seriously cannot believe why i got it. Well the reason is, because i had been bumping Back For The First Time, in which he actually displays SOME talent, back then i loved that album, and Word Of Mouf was OK, nothing special, but this is absolute garbage. This aint real rap. Rap wasnt supposed to be about this. Just another radio gimmick now, along with lil jon, 50 cent, ja rule, jay-z, eminem, d12, dmx, eastside boys, etc. they all suck. How can people actually like this kind of crap? go out and cop some REAL rap music. Its crap like this that ruins the reputation of rap and hip-hop. All people hear on the radio is crap like this and automatically say "RAP SUCKS" (unless, of course, u fall into the trap, and actually like this garbage). But this isnt real hip hop. People dont hear the real stuff on radio, so they dont give rap a chance. You need to cop real underground rappers that HAVE talent. Dilated Peoples, Three 6 mafia, ESHAM, jurassic 5, early bone thugs, early wu-tang, early nas, krs-one, rakim, ETC. When Word of Mouf came out, I was an instant fan of Ludacris. I went out and bought the first cd also. When this came, I was hyped about it, but then became disappointed. This album don't suck, but I expected more. Free Music Review: This album is okay

There are some good songs on here and there are some dumb ones on here.The 1st single stand up was okay while the second one blew.Yes there are some talks about women on here like the usuall Ludacris.I would say this is a average Hip Hop release that probally could have been much greater then it was.
