It's an exquisitely done recording of Luis Bravo's vision of his country's cultural treasure: the Tango. I saw the show Forever Tango more than two years ago and the cd of the show recaptures the exhilarating experience of that emotionally dramatic music as performed and interpreted by the show's Argentinian company of musicians and dancers. The beautiful strains of the orchestra's string section, piano and especially the accordian- like Bandaneon section's signature Tango melodies play out love, despair and comedy. It's the next best thing to seeing the show. It might make one want to learn to dance the Tango.
