Luis Miguel in Amarte es un Placer returns to the style that has made him one of the most beloved performers in Latin America. Luis Miguel's soaring vocals accentuate the beautiful lyrics of Armando Manzanero, Juan Carlos Calderon, and of his own pen. For the lovers of romance this a CD that I recommend. Well..."Me estoy enamorando" so praised in the previous post sounds pretty boring to me. Alejandro's ranchero albums have more zest and character then his syropy balladas.Free Music Review: What do people see in him?

I bought this CD after listening to "Sol, Arena, Y Mar". I like the song and also "Tu Mirada". But this is not the best Latin CD available. You have a real masterpice in "Me Estoy Enamorando" by Alejandro Fernandez (a better singer too), and other options on Christian Castro and Chayanne. Luis Miguel came out in the days where he was truly "El Rey", since he lacked competition, so he became an icon. But time has passed, and I only see in Luis Miguel a guy who give orders on how he wants the dishes, where he is going to eat washed!. This is just ridiculous!. He does it where ever he goes!. Talk about an ego!. I gave this CD two stars for the two songs, and the third star because I am in a good mood. Just wait until the "Me Estoy Enamorando" follow-up is released...which will be soon.Free Music Review: Simply the best

This Cd. its like the name un Placer its a masterpiece. In this cd Luis Miguel shows his great talent and voice. He has not to change his way for sale cds. After some disappointing cds, Luis is back with a strong recording that is anchored by his fast tracks "Te propongo" and "Dimelo," as well as the outstanding ballads, "Tu Mirada," and "O Tu o Ninguna." Luis, as always, has found superb artists to work with, and his collaboration with jazz guitarist Paul Jackson Jr. produces fine results, as in his earlier work with Kirk Whalum on "Suave," from the Aries CD. Luis shows true maturity in this album, and continues to impress with his vocal range, phrasing, and intonation. For those who are already accustomed to the Luismi sound, this record will not dissapoint. Perhaps the main flaw is a tendency to repeat similar melodic themes from previous records.Free Music Review: Ballads/Great-Uptempo songs/Unlistenable

Luis Miguel should stick to his forte, the ballads, and stop recycling previous unlistenable uptempo songs. He should continue to record songs from talented composers such as Maestro Armando Manzanero.Thanks to programming feature in cd players, you can skip the fluff and enjoy the good songs.
