Free Music Review: Really great Bonfa album

It's been only two years I listen to Bossa Nova music and I always go back to this one. This is a very basic studio recording, clean sound with no reverb, and quite well mastered for this CD edition. The emphasis of the recording is on the impressive "doigté" and virtuosity of this guitar giant, as we can see on the photo cover. I find this album better than "Luiz Bonfa plays Bossa Nova" on Verve which has too much orchestration and arrangments. On "Le roi de la Bossa Nova" it's mostly guitar, voice and some flute and percussion (except Cantiga Da Vida and the 4 bonus tracks). Superbe & délicieux!
