Free Music Notes for Lullaby: A CollectionFree Music Review: Baby falls asleep by 5th song! Hit: 5 StarsBeautiful and calming music for babies to sleep by! Our son is 3 1/2 months old and has been listening to this CD as he goes to sleep for a month now. He's eyes start to close by the 2nd song and tends to be firmly asleep by the 5th. The spanish song gets a tad louder than everything else, but it never seems to disturb him.
Free Music Review: Who Needs a Baby to Enjoy This Music? Hit: 5 StarsI've enjoyed this cd for several years now. If the day has been particularly stressful, I find it easy to unwind by listening to this beautiful and restful music. The selected lullabies reflect ethnic diversity beginning with the haunting "Swedish Lullaby" by Libiana, to the Spanish "A La Nanita Nana" by Tish Hinojosa, to the African "Be Still My Child" by Ladysmith Black Mambazo. It's comforting to realize that in every culture in our too aggressive, troubled world, caring parents soothe their children to sleep with beautiful music. All of these songs are found on individual albums but are seamlessly brought together in this thoughtful compilation. There are a lot of lullaby cds to choose from, but this one will entertain adults as well as babies. I recently ordered it again to include in a baby shower gift. Exhausted new parents need rest too!
Free Music Review: Great eclectic mix Hit: 4 StarsI was bored with all of the standard lullabies, and I was looking for nice mellow music with different sounds from around the world. Something I would enjoy listening to also. This CD was really nice...I wish there would have been a middle eastern or indian song or two, but there's a nice worldly mix. All of the songs are gentle and good to listen to just before bedtime with my 6 month old daughter.
Free Music Review: A Global Lullaby- very nice Hit: 4 StarsI think I bought this because it had the Bobby McFerrin "Common Thread" version from my favorite lullaby CD, "On A Starry Night". It was just what I wanted- various artists, so I don't get tired of anyone's voice, and lots of variety in the music. There are swedish and african songs as well as "All the Pretty Little Horses". And most important, the music isn't overdone. I can listen to it over and over without wanting to scream- it's just soothing mood music lullabies.
Free Music Review: Wonderful! 5 year old still listens to it! Hit: 5 StarsThis is my second copy of this CD, we wore the first one out! My 5 year old has listened to this nightly since he was an infant. It is a wonderful, soothing collection of truly beautiful songs. So far our newborn likes this lullaby CD the best as well, he drifts off to sleep in no time at all.
