Free Music Notes for Lullaby: A Collection

Free Music Review: Wonderfully Relaxing for baby & parents!
Hit: 5 Stars

My husband and I just love this cd and we use it every day (in fact 2 or 3 times per day.) It is so relaxing during feedings and just puts our difficult sleeper right into dreamland. In fact, I have seen my husband sitting in the nursery without the baby rocking and listening to the cd just to unwind and relax after work.

It is not your typical lullabye music. Its more like music played to relax a person during a massage. It contains lullabyes in several different languages that just seem to flow together so wonderfully.

It has been an indispensable part of our nursery!!! Your baby will thank you.

Free Music Review: Great music; great way for baby to fall asleep
Hit: 5 Stars

Our little guy falls asleep to this every other night...and being that he has slept thru the night since he was 6 weeks old, I can't say the this didnt help :^)

really, its very nice, sweet, soulful music that child and parent will enjoy. Start them off young with music YOU enjoy. And this is important, because the child will grow her/her own taste one day..

Free Music Review: so soothing and sounds good to adults too
Hit: 5 Stars

I loved this album when my son was an infant, now he's nearly six. I lost the tape some time ago, but even now I remember how soothing the music was. I need another copy! So glad I came across it again.

Free Music Review: Beware: You may not get what you think you are ordering!
Hit: 5 Stars

I would agree that this CD is enjoyable for both children and parents, however, you may not get exactly what you think you are ordering. I discovered this after ordering one version, and receiving another!

The list of songs and artists has been changed. The main difference is that on track 2 of the original version, "Courtyard Lullaby" is performed by Loreena McKennitt (from the album "The Visit"). On the new version, it has been replaced with "The Cradle Song" performed by Karan Casey (from the album "Seal Maiden: A Celtic Musical"). They are both beautiful pieces, but fans of one artist may be disappointed if they receive a different version.

The problem is that, as of the date of this review, some sites (including the distributor's, Music for Little People) list the original version, but ship the newer one. No explanation for the change has been provided by MfLP, but it probably has to do with licensing issues. I realize that this may be a minor or insignificant detail to some, but it may make a difference to others.

Note: "Dreamland", another collection of world lullabies and soothing songs, distributed by Putumayo, is a wonderful compliment to this album.

Free Music Review: Hands down the best lullaby collection out there!
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD is so soothing and beautiful, I could not be happier with my purchase. My newborn daughter just loves it. It puts her to sleep so easily. The music is not the run of the mill lullaby either. It introduces the baby to different types of music and cultures. People who have visited my home have mistaken this CD (which plays almost constantly during the day along with a couple of others) for MY music. It does not sounds specifically "childish". Really beautiful - I highly recommend it.
