I bought this CD based on the strength of the reviews written here, not fully knowing what to expect. Despite the fact that I am a fan and own a copy of Borrasca, a wonderful CD in its own right, I wasn't sure how I would feel about this particular collection. After listening to it only once, I was completely swept away. Unlike the more vibrant and catchy tunes of Borrasca, The Hours Between Day + Night is more mellow, smooth and laced with a very lovely jazz feel that blends seamlessly into a unique sound. With 19 songs, one of which is a Spanish language remake of Marvin Gaye's Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology), it is not only one of the longest CDs this listener has come across, but it's well worth the price. This was the first cd by Ottmar that I purchased 3 yrs ago & I fell in love with this music! Since then, I have played it every night as I put my kids to bed --they would fall asleep listening to this beautiful calming music and I would have a wonderful evening just listening to it. We recently moved and it was temporarily "lost" but we found it again.Free Music Review: Great!

This is flamenco at it's best! Liebert hypnotizes you with the upbeat and sometimes haunting sounds of the flamenco style of the guitar! The music touches you and makes you recollect memories of the past. I love it! You will too! Buy from amazon, this cd is somewhat hard to find, and if you do find it, it will be expensive. amazon has a good price. dont make the same mistake i did. Of all the music Ottmar has produced over the past 10 years, this is his finest. The musical and emotional depth of this work is remarkable. Upon the first listening I found myself becoming more and more engaged as I was being drawn through this musical journey "...between night & day." It's even better after repeated listenings!
