If Barry White had grown up in England in the early 80s and listened to Bauhaus, Dead Can Dance, and Debussy might he have been Luna Trick's Dan Staniforth? Luna Trick effectively marries many influences- think trip hop, glam goth, pre- Let's Dance Bowie, Nine Inch Nails industrial and cobbles a sound for guys and girls with big record collections. You might want to wallow for days in self doubt and agonize over the right synonym for inertia, but put down your poetry notebook you've got other things to do. If you think there hasn't been a good record since the first Portishead record you should give this a try. It will fit nicely in between your copy of The Cure's Pornography and Cocteau Twins' Garlands.

Luna Trick is the creative brainchild of English multi-Instrumentalist, Daniel Staniforth. Classically trained as a Cellist, Stanifortj crafts an array of songs styles - ranging from indie rock, new wave, darkwave, electronica, space-funk, ethereal, to more widely experimental. His hybridized guitar style renders many different sonic colours, which are further enhanced by his willingness to explore various instrumentation.
