For Luther fans, this is a must-buy. On "Live at Radio City Music Hall 2003," Luther performs his clasics, old (Superstar, A House is Not a Home, Love Won't Let Me Wait) and new (Take You Out and I'd Rather). He even tries to be faithful to their orginal musical and vocal arrangments. His voice is in top form and the backgroud singers are right 'on time' as usual. I think, however, that "Live" should have been a double album, so that Luther could've included more of his classics. The second disc would included songs like, "So Amazing," "Wait for Love," "Bad Boy," "It's Over Now," "When I Need You," and "I'm Only Human," "I Can Make It Better," and "Make Me A Believer." He could include a duet segment with his background singers for songs like "There's Nothing Better Than Love," "If This World Were Mine," "I Who Have Nothing." In my wildest dreams, Luther would've slipped in some of the songs he's been hiding for the last 27 years like "Everybody Rejoice," and "It's Good for the Soul" (from his 1975 Cotillion album "Luther") and "This Close to You," "This Is For Real," and "Don't Want to Be a Fool," (from his 1976 "This is Close to You" album). On the positive side, this disc will hold us Luther fans over until he perform again--'cause I KNOW we have not heard the last of Luther Vandross Live!
