I must say i was hesitant to buy the cd awhile ago but i have should known better. Luther Vandross most definitely delivered one of his best live performances ever on this cd. Ever since i purchased this cd it has been in rotation every day and i just cant get enough of the voice of our time. Singing all the classic hits and a few of his most recent ones will leave u wanting more and more. I wish they would release a live version dvd of his performance at radio music city hall to add to the dvd collection of his. Luther Vandross music will continuously live on because of his timeless collection. I would most definitely recommend this cd to anybody that loves great quality music with a voice that will give you goosebumps. Love you luther and you will forever be missed! What words could i possibly say to describe this cd? what words could i possibly use to describe luther? this cd, hands down, has to be the best live cd ever. Not only do you not feel cheated because he had so many hits and you are only getting a sample...but you don't even feel cheated that it's not a double disc. This cd has been playing nonstop in my car for months. I just start back over at the beginning and am amazed all over again. WE MISS YOU LUTHER..you were the BEST. Only one male vocalist on earth left who could even hold a candle to you....and he wasn't listed on the all star tribute...but thank goodness he paid tribute to you on his lastest cd. For those fortunate to have seen Vandross in concert, this disc brings back fantastic memories. Few entertainers have such a rapport with the audience, the band, and the background singers. Digging in his extensive bag of hits, the singer has never sounded stronger. Who would've guessed that a short time after this was recorded, the singer would be stricken by a life-threatening stroke!!!
That withstanding, this has to be one of his best releases, deserving of the Grammy over the studio album "Dance With My Father".
It is surprising that this is Vandross's FIRST LIVE album.
And it is definitely a "jewel in the crown" of one of the premier crooners of all time.

If you have ever been to a Luther Vandross concert, you know that his music can create a fabulous mood for love. This cd captures the essence of one of his concerts. Luther is a very good singer. His concerts are historical creations of love!!Nat Adderly Jr. (his musical director for years) is present and in full form this night. "Superstar" "Love Won't Let me Wait" & "House Is Not A Home" are sung with feeling and a full band.
Musically, WE NEED LUTHER!!! Hip Hop will not dominate everything forever.

I've always loved Luther, although I wouldn't consider myself a fanatic.
Suffice it to say I've enjoyed MOST of his output. Vocally, he is the
last of the great male R&B vocalists, IMHO. No one since has come close
to his silky, sensitive yet powerful vocalizing. That said, I think this
CD stands as one of LV's very best. It has everything you want in a
live CD: great sound, great song selection, AMAZING vocals and that vibe
that makes you wish you'd been there that night. I highly recommend it
to Luther fans everywhere. Listen to the soundclips and see for yourself.
We miss you Luther, and we'll never forget you!
