This CD is really good. The narration that he provides before each song helps you understand where he is coming from and where he is going with the song. If you like the songs they play on the radio then you will like the CD. You know how you hear a good song on the radio and then you purchace the album and the only song you like is the one on the radio. Lyfe's CD is not like that at all it's really good. I wish I had this CD when it first hit the stores a year ago. Lyfe has helped me cope with alot of things in my life. His real life experience that he shares in his music help me to understand the struggles of a black men today. It is good to see someone produce a CD with so much love and passion after coming from behind the dark walls of prison. This is an AMAZING CD I bought the CD by word of mouth about two weeks ago I listen to it at work, home and in the car. This is definetly a work of art from beginning to end I have referred it to 5 people and they thank me everyday. A CD absolutely worth your money. This is an absolutely stunning album. It is raw, realistic, soulful and dare I say sexy, for here is a brother willing to bare all, and honestly. Yes, I am tired of sugary love songs. This is a mini- biography of a man who many with their self-righteousness call "throw away" but who found insight into self and society and redemption. Lyfe, I am surprised and angry that this CD is not at the top of the charts. I am also glad you did not forget the brothers in the jails. I love all the songs, but my favorites are Cry, Hypothetically, Made Up My Mind, and most of all 26 Years, 17 Days. Buy this. You will not be disappointed.
