This is the best CD I have heard since Anthony Hamilton. I need to buy another CD, one for the house and one for the car. His voice send chills through your body, and if you feel bad, this CD will make you feel good. CUT UP BOY, YOU DID IT THIS TIME!!!

Free Music Review: Must Buy CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Lyfe Jenning's, who's referred to as Lyfe, is a five time Apollo champ. Lyfe's first album of his time, "Lyfe 268-192," was released August 17, 2004. This is a R&B album that tells a story of a person he used to be. Lyfe sings about all the struggles he's been through. Many people who consumes this cd can somehow relate to what he is singing about in his songs. Lyfe takes a narrative stance in this album, basically letting his listeners know what the next song is about.

"Hypothetically" featuring Erin tells a story of a hypothetical family having normal everyday problems and the question of whether the baby in this family is the son of the hypothetical dad. Even though Lyfe called this song "Hypothetically," the situations described in this song describes some real families. "Must Be Nice," "Stick Up Kid," "She Got Kid," and "I Can't" all display passion, heartbreaking, realism, emotional, and soul searching. "Greedy" is a masterpiece that centers on a lot of families in America. Lyfe is haunted by his baby mama and the cops because he owes child support. The baby mama uses their child to hurt him and get some money.

Lyfe, a soul searching, intimate, passionate, and street smart individual is gong to go far in the music industry. Lyfe possesses the ability to write and sing about his stuggles confidently. His style of singing has a combination of D' Angelo's, Jill Scott's, and Angie Stones's soul an realism. "Lyfe 268-192" is superb and it can be inferred that the next album he composes will be a hit too.

Free Music Review: Don't buy this album!

Weak vocals, weak lyrics, do yourself a favor and pass this c.d. up for something worth listening to like...Anthony Hamilton, John Legend, Dwele, Remy Shand, etc etc.

Free Music Review: I Do this for Love
Hit: 4 Stars

My man called me today and asked that I go out and purchase Lyfe. He said to listen to track #4 - The Way I Feel About You. I can hardly wait to get off work and go buy this CD. Usually when he suggests a song to me it's worth it. I'll holla back tomorrow and let you know how I like it. Thanks!

Free Music Review: ain't happening
Hit: 1 Stars

This CD is horrible. When I heard "Must Be Nice" I thought this CD would be worth a listen. Boy, was I wrong. I was trying to give this CD a chance but to be honest I wasn't feeling none of these songs. They were absolutely horrible and did not appeal to me at all. What are you people thinking giving him so many positive reviews. Are you all high on something? This is the worst record I have heard. First of all he gives a little history narration before every song which is very annoying. What really hurts this CD is the lack of quality lyrics, the right melodies and beats. I know he writes his own songs but he really needs help in producing quality music. The only song I liked was "Smile". This one is something to listen to. It has that 1970's flavor and actually sounds like music. The rest is just garbage and his voice isn't that great either, a little too husky.

If you are in your right mind do not buy this CD. It is a waste of money.
