Free Music Review: Powerful soulful voice!

The first time I ever heard of Lynda Randle was on a CD of the Gaithers Gospel Group, "Good News". When I heard the song "I'm Free", I had to stop and just listen. And I listened to that song over and over, mesmerized by that voice.
When I enjoyed the Gaithers on TV, I caught a glimpse of Lynda Randle and saw a clip of her singing side by side with old footage of Mahalia Jackson, I was blown away how Lynda and Mahalia sang in unison.
It is said that Mahalia Jackson (1912-1972) was a singer who refused to sing the blues and is known as the world's greatest gospel singer.
This CD is wonderful, uplifting and of course, inspirational. My favorite is "Down By the Riverside." The CD comes complete with pamphlet that includes lyrics to the songs.
If you enjoy great gospel, a smoky soulful sound and Mahalia Jackson, you will enjoy the incredible voice of Lynda Randle. And you need to hear "I'm Free", which is on her "Timeless" CD.
