Free Music Notes for Skynyrd's First: The Complete Muscle Shoals Album

Free Music Review: Woooo!
Hit: 5 Stars

This album is great stuff from top to bottom. The demos sound a little wierd as compared to the later versions but this is still worth buying. The last two tracks are a couple Ricky Medlocke contributions. Both of them are great-the slide guitar on "You Run Around" will make you wanna pull out your Johnny Walker's Red on the spot!

Free Music Review: This IS the COMPLETE Muscle Shoals Album
Hit: 5 Stars

Just to set the record straight: The 1982 Best of the Rest compilation incorrectly credits "I've Been Your Fool" and "Gotta Go" as being Muscle Shoals tracks. In fact, they are both demos recorded by Skynyrd for Al Kooper on his Sounds Of The South / MCA Records label in March 1973. So enjoy!

Free Music Review: simply a must have ,for serious music fans!
Hit: 5 Stars

L Y N A R D S K Y N A R D at there earliest and in my point of view there best.it shows ronnie van zandt at his vocal peak. his voice shines like blonde hair in the sun in these eary recordings.they{lynard skynard}sound raw and ready to fight. have adrink on RONNIE,CASSIE and STEVE FLY ON FREE BIRD!!!

Free Music Review: Great Album!
Hit: 5 Stars

*NOTE* IT IS SPELLED LYNYRD SKYNYRD, NOT LYNARD SKYNARD!

That aside, this album is really good. It shows how a band can evolve over a few years. I particularly like the original version of Free Bird with Billy Powell's great piano work. A must for the die hard SKYNYRD fan!

Free Music Review: Not Forgotten...
Hit: 5 Stars

This was Great material. My Favorite was White Dove.I had heard this from their First and last record.Glad to have it on CD now.I had recently heard Billy Powell the pianist had died. His work was magnificent and will be appreciated for years to come.
