Free Music Notes for The Essential Lynyrd Skynyrd [2-CD SET]

Free Music Review: by far the best band ever
Hit: 5 Stars

this is the best cd i have ever purchased. Lynyrd Skynyrd had something that no other band will ever be able to match. They could could get your blood flowing with songs like gimme three steps or bring it down with songs like free bird. No matter what song they play it is all 100% awsome southern rock. This cd s a must have for anyone who likes southern rock. Hell this cd is a must have for anyone who likes any kind of music.

Free Music Review: The Best CD in Rock and Roll
Hit: 5 Stars

This is my favorite cd of all time. I have a collection of over 300 cd's and this one is always my first choice to listen to. The 70's southern rock style is really easy to listen to and this band will never die.

Free Music Review: Brilliant Anthology
Hit: 5 Stars

This album replaces the 1970s-released "Gold and Platinum" as the definitive Lynyrd Skynyrd best of album. The two discs here are packed with nearly all of Skynyrd's best performances. Besides the obvious radio fare like "Free Bird" and "Sweet Home Alabama," there are great album tracks like "The Ballad of Curtis Lowe" and "Working For MCA." The album even features a couple of first rate rare cuts like "Was I Right or Wrong" and "All I Can Do is Write About It." Overall, this is one of the best rock anthology albums ever put together.

Free Music Review: Great songs, great collection
Hit: 5 Stars

When I really like something, I get obsessed. This was what sparked my obsession with Skynyrd and it still is playing on the stereo over and over again. My parents are getting sick of it. I'm not. Why? Partly because of its variety. Some honky tonk, some blues, some rock, and who knows what else. In any case, this album made me love all the kinds of music they play. There are a lot of seriously jamming guitar moments. Gary Rossington, et al really know how to move their hands around that fingerboard. So of course another version of Free Bird is welcome. The acoustic version of All I Can Do Is Write About is magical. Sweet Home Alabama and Free Bird are, as always, great. "Gimme Back My Bullets" is fantastic. So is "Was I Right Or Wrong?". Oh heck, so is the rest of the cd. So, what are you waiting for?
