Free Music Notes for WarriorzFree Music Review: They'll kick all yall a$$ with the same pair of boots Hit: 5 StarsThe best part of MOP is they dont change and the never sound the same. Listen to their other CDs and you always get that same gritty hardcore real account hip hop. Some guys you listen to say things and you know they haven't really done what they say. No studio gangsters here. Billy Danze & Fizzy Womack hit the nail on the head and drive the hammer through the concrete.
Warriors is the culmination of all their great works into a front to back classic for any fan of real hip hop I say again real Hip Hop. If you dont like MOP you must be a fan of that crap music that rules the airwaves nowdays. BUY ALL MOP'S especially this one. ANTE UP
Free Music Review: Classic album - their best Hit: 5 StarsThe only thing I don't like about M.O.P. is they haven't put out a new album in over 4 years and I didn't hear of them until I heard "Ante Up" & "Cold as Ice". Since then I've gotten all their albums and I must say this is my favorite (but the other 3 are good as well -- their rock album from 2003 is ok but half of it is old stuff). Real hardcore gangstas who don't sellout, that's what they are. After 2 years off hey come back with their signature formula = No weak or fake lyrics but straight gutter grimey music and great beats by DJ Premier, Laze E Laze & M.O.P (a couple others contributed to this album as well). This is one of the best rap albums I have and I have around 625 (as of 12/04). There are 5 classics, 7 great songs, and 5 ok ones on here. Guests are very minimal, and this album is a MUST HAVE hardcore gangsta rap album.
#2 - 9.5 (f/ teflon -- good beat -- gangsta song)
#3 - 10 (CLASSIC f/ product G&B -- has an R&B throw in it but I love this song -- great beat)
#4 - 10 (another CLASSIC -- hardcore gangsta $h!+ about robbing)
#5 - 8.5 (Billy's part in the beginning has a slower deeper beat -- Fizzy part at the end has a good uptempo beat)
#6 - 9.5 (more gangsta s**+ -- same beat that on AZ's "9 Lives" album)
#7 - 9
#8 - 9 (f/ crystal asia -- about the old timers in the game)
#9 - 9.5
#10 - 6.5 (my least favorite on the album)
#11 - 7.5
#12 - 10 (CLASSIC w/ deeper beat)
#13 - 10 (another CLASSIC gangsta song w/ great beat)
#14 - 7.5 (f/ lord have mercy)
#15 - 9 (good gangsta beat)
#16 - 10 (one more CLASSIC -- great beat grimey song -- uses a good sample as well)
#17 - 7.5 (f/ rocko)
#18 - 7
#19 - 9

Free Music Review: Hardcore MOFO's Hit: 5 StarsI bought this album when it first came out, and clicked a link for it on this site, so I figured I had to review it. This is by far M.O.P.'s best album. The fact is, every single song is VICIOUS. Beats, lyrics, style...all of it is PERFECT. I also think its safe to say that anyone who takes that whole Love, Peace, Understanding thing really seriously should avoid this cd. It gets grimy as HELL and don't think i'm playin neither. But yea, this is a nice album and primo doesnt slack on a single track. BUT THIS AND CRY TEARS OF JOY.
Free Music Review: Mash Out Posse, NOT Monkeys on Parole Hit: 5 StarsM.O.P. is one of the hardest and grimiest hip-hop groups out today and this album proves it. With assistance from DJ Premier, the best hip-hop producer, Billy Danze and Lil Fame blazes the tracks. "Ante up" was one the hotest songs in 2000. "Face Off" is one of the hottest Premo tracks produced especially Billy Danze ripping the first part of the song. "Downtown Swinga" and "Nig-gotiate" are bangers to hit the rewind button. "Cold as ice" is a nice hit even though the track reminds me of something Just Blaze or Kanye West (Rocafella Records in-house producers) would have produced. The track was a sped-up sample from 80s rock group Foreigner. Overall, this album is of high quality and unfortunately, not quantity.
Free Music Review: RECOGNIZE! Hit: 5 StarsAnything but 5 stars is straight wrong. If you like Will Smith, don't buy this album. Don't get me wrong, I liked Fresh Prince and Bad Boys, but Billy & Fame ain't trying to be movie stars. With lines like "Giuliani steady tellin' us 'Put down the guns,"/But Amadou Diallo caught at least 41/I'm immune to crime, equipped with 9's/Po-po got theirs, I'ma stick to mine," this album DESTROYS all other supposedly "hardcore" rap albums. Even M.O.P.'s earlier releases, To the Death, Firing Squad, and First Family 4 Life, which I love, are not nearly as good as Warriorz.
Premier is just that - the premier DJ/producer in the rap game. M.O.P. will continue to stand the test of time while artists like Onyx and Mobb Deep struggle to reattain their once-lofty statuses.
"I'll have yo a$$ layin' up for months/On a beat machine with a s*&%bag and a IV/Try me, m*&^%f#$%^!"
