Free Music Notes for GaiaFree Music Review: great album Hit: 5 StarsOk! this album is not as great as "Finisterra", but it doesn't mean it's not a great album. This album is considerably softer than Mago's previous albums, which it's not necessarily a bad thing; but be aware, there are more ballads than on previous albums and some of the lyrics get a bit cheesy; still, a great album from a great band!
Free Music Review: Spanish power metal progressive group. Hit: 4 StarsI listened to Gaia. It is an amazing recording. The drum sound is impressive, as well as the guitar, flute and other medieval sounding instruments. The voice of the vocalist is good. (It takes sometime to get accustomed to him). At times, it feels like listening to the instrumentation of Jethro Tull. Sometimes you may want to dance to it like a juggler during arthurian and Robin Hood times. You will like it, depending on your mood. I have this hunch that this group looks for perfection in the studio. When it comes to play live, the sound will not be the same. The dvd provides an ample background on the recording of GAIA. If you do not understand spanish, you might not enjoy its content. Keep the medieval and barbaric times music on!!! If you like movies like Excalibur, Lord of the Rings, the music of Gaia will serve as its background. Imagine Gollum walking and dancing to the rhythms of this group. Enjoy!!!
Free Music Review: Buenisimo!
