Free Music Notes for Motley Crue - Greatest HitsFree Music Review: The Motley crue review Hit: 5 StarsI got this album just recently, but it is really amazing.
They have all the songs and everything essential for headbanging,
guitar strumming, angry goodness. Motley crue outdid even Guns n'Roses here. Shout out to vince, mick, tommy, and nikki of motley crue for doing such a tremendousely good job!
They really whale!!!!
Free Music Review: lacking Hit: 3 Starsan awesome compliation yes but lacking too much why only one track from shout at the devil looks that kill is a cllawssic song but wheres the original shout and too young to fall in love and one trak from too fast for love wheres livewire the bigest hit on the album and piece of you're action too many from generation swine and where is generation swine why's that not here
Free Music Review: Excellent Collection Hit: 5 StarsThis is the best Crue album to all of those who don't own any Crue records. The only song on here that I wish was on here but isn't is "You're All I Need" but luckily that song is on the Video Collection DVD. That song makes me tear up every time I hear the song and I would have loved for it to have been added on to this record. Oh man, but you have all of the greats on here! Headbanging gold! "Dr. Feelgood" and "Wildside" are my two absolute favorite Crue songs. I also love the kick ass guitar riffs in "Primal Scream". The music never gets old as some one has stated here, Motley Crue writes kick ass songs! Love the Crue and may they live forever!
Free Music Review: No "Too Young to Fall in Love?" Hit: 3 StarsI suppose this album gives radio listeners a sufficient dose of the "X-games soundtrack"-style rock by which they know the Crue, and I suppose those who desire a vicarious participation in the Vh-1 version of the eighties may enjoy this collection. However, for a fan who sees an intricate game of subversion at work in Vince Neil's lyrics, the greatest hits album feels like a bit of a sell-out. "All in the Name of...," for example, is one of the great criticisms of the self-aggrandizing eighties rock bands, and it is conspicuously absent from the collection, as is "Porno Star," a scathing indictment of the commodification of the sexual other predicated by the alterity of Internet communication. "Dr. Feelgood," and more subtly "Girls, Girls, Girls," is the closest thing we get to these fierce social commentaries here.
"Greatest Hits" albums can be the most popular tunes, or the truly "greatest" songs of a band's catalog. Sadly, this album follows the latter paradigm. Certainly, Vince Neil is not possessed of the same socio-political fervor as Bono ("Sunday Bloody Sunday") or Brett Michaels ("Something to Believe In"), but he deserves his due.
