After "Dreamland" I wondered when this spectacular voice would reappear. This is a delectable follow-up albeit many years later and it was worth the wait.
This voice is so beyond her time but before her time. She has an effortless palette of notes she moves through with a pitch perfect, low resonant delectability reflective of movie musicals with Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra. Yet she's ahead of her time in how she doesn't succomb to fads when she sings jazz or pop. She opts to stay true to her own style and it is a remarkable journey to take with her through these tracks - most highly recommended.
