Free Music Review: Just 'cause it's Madonna

I'm a big fan of Madonna's and I will always support her, but that doesn't mean I like everything she puts out. While I respect the fact that she pulled the American Life video for the respect of U.S. soldiers or not wanting it to be misunderstood, I think the song itself is pretty lame and boring.It sounds very B-side(if anyone still know the word..... you know what I mean). When more than 75% of the songs on the chart is Hip-Hop or R&B, and 90% of the #1 songs in the past couple of years have been Hip-Hop influenced, Hearing Madonna rap or let Missy Elliot to remix the song and be in it makes me feel like Madonna is trying so hard to make a hit. Now Missy musta been honored to remix Madonna's song, but the remix isn't that great either( which is not on this single, but is on the maxi due out later this month). This makes me sad. I could be wrong, but Madonna can do whatever she wants and this is what she did?I think she's feeling pressure of having to make a hit, because she's Madonna and all. I don't know. I should not say 'til I hear the album. But the song is not so great. but still get the single because there is Calderon-remixed house version of Die Another Day and enhanced web sight material. It's more like a collector's item.
