This is by far one of Madonna's best albums before Ray Of Light appeared in 1998; it has beautiful songs (not only the singles) and the music here is refreshing and shows us a new Madonna. My favourite songs are: "SANCTUARY", "SURVIVAL", BEDTIME STORY", "FORBIDDEN LOVE" and "SECRET", although I do think all of her songs on this album are really good.
If you're planning to buy this album and you're still hesitating, don't! Buy it soon and start enjoying it!

Do not trust most of the bad reviews here. They are a team of Mariah Carey fans who have set out to destroy Madonna, Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston so they can get Mariah Carey in the number one spot.
I have alerted Maverick Records and Warner Brothers to the situation and have suggested legal action against them.
They intend to make use of the press in any way possible, cluttering the press with bad reviews to make those artiste's releases flop. That is just sad.

Collecting a gaggle of producers (Babyface, Nellee Hooper, Dallas Austin and Dave "Jam" Hall), Madonna turned out her sixth studio album in the fall of 1994. The album was immediately greeted warmly on the charts, with its first single, "Secret," reaching #3 in the US. The album's second release, "Take A Bow," became her biggest US hit, spending 7 weeks at #1 in the spring of 1995. Later that year, Madonna won the best female video trophy for "Take A Bow" at the MTV Video Music Awards. "Bedtime Story" (#42) and "Human Nature" (#46) were the third and fourth singles from "Stories" and were the first ever Madonna singles to not chart in the Top 40! But in the UK the singles hit #4 and #8 respectively, making the singles bigger. In the US, the album hit #3 and sold over 2 million units, worldwide it has sold 7 million, and garnered a Grammy nomination for best pop album.

"Bedtime Stories" is definately my second favourite Madonna album behind "Confessions On A Dance Floor". The opening track, "Survival", is absolutely brilliant and really shows off Madonna's R'n'B talents. "Secret" is definately one of my fave singles that Madonna has ever put out. The next track is "I'd Rather Be Your Lover". Madonna shows off her R'n'B talents even more. "Don't Stop" is yet another brilliant track. Madonna sounds excellent! "Inside Of Me" is my fave song. I love how Madonna uses her breathing like an instrument. It's about her mother's death. The brilliant single "Human Nature" follows, and then the next track, "Forbidden Love", is the only track I've given 9/10. There's nothing wrong with it. It's just not as good as the other songs. The beautiful ballads "Love Tried To Welcome Me" and "Take A Bow" are also excellent, whereas "Sanctuary" and the single "Bedtime Story" add a bit of mystery to the album. I completely recommend this album to Madonna fans.
