I saw the show live back in '04, and it was fantastic... Film does not really do it justice, as it chops the musical numbers from their full lengths into 2 or 3 minute clips. The film is very good, however. It shows a new, more mature and spiritual side to Madonna, rather than the attention getter that we know and love from Truth or Dare. The real jewel of this set however, is the live cd, which includes 14 songs from the show. My favorite is Like A Prayer, which here is given a sort of unplugged, acoustic sounding arrangement. And to the reviewer who said "Madonna does not play any instruments", she can be heard here playing guitar on Mother And Father, which was only one of several songs that she played on during the tour. Bottom line, for any Madonna fan, this is a must have, and for anyone who's never seen her perform live, this is a great sampling of the overall Madonna Show Experience.Free Music Review: Lucky Star

I am a VERY lucky Madonna fan who was blessed enough to win "dance-pit" tickets to the Re-Invention Tour in New York City. Only downfall of those tickets was that I saw the concert from a perpindicular angle (which I'm not complaining about because she super rocked and was never more that 15 feet away!) but was hoping to see it from a more head-on position in the concert DVD. While the "Secret" DVD has some stunning examples from the concert, anyone who was not able to attend will never see the great military version of EXPRESS YOURSELF or the childlike playfulness in Madonna's face when she sang PAPA DON'T PREACH. I lOVE LOVE LOVE you Madonna, but I (like most of your fans I imagine) want to keep the memory of your incredible concerts fresh in my mind all the time, revisiting one of the most incredible experiences I've had, by watching your concert videos. BTW Confessions Tour blew me AWAY!Free Music Review: a must have!

I've been loving this CD - I went to this show live so to hear it makes me feel like I'm back at the concert. Her voice sounds amazing, she puts so much power & emotion into every note, you can tell she's singing & performing (as always) with everything she's got. The DVD is a great look on stage & behind the scenes to get a glimpse into how a show of that magnitude comes together as well as getting insight into each one of the performers. It too is put together so artistically by Jonas Akerlund. The sound, camera work, timing etc... all amazing & leave you wanting more. Nice bonus features too! There simply never has been & never will be anyone like her - she's THE true artist of our time IMO.Free Music Review: Wonderful Release

I saw the Re-Invention Tour and have been wanting to relive the event for the past two years. The cd thrilled me. Yeah it is lip synched on Beast Within because she wasn't on stage for that track and the same with Hollywood. Regardless this gives a good glimpse into Re-Invention which may be all we ever get since the Tour looks like it will never be released on DVD. I was upset that the American Life video wasn't included as was reported earlier on press releases. The bonus footage is interesting and even fun with a closer look at Stuart. It is so worth the money I spent and it put a smile on my face as I listened and relived the tour!!!!Free Music Review: madonna's first and best live cd and DVD

Wow this is just one AWSOME MADONNA COMBINATION. This is the first and best madonna live cd ever. The mixes are just the best!! you have to hear it to believe it. Madonna should bring out more live cd's I haven't stopped listening to this one at all. It a mixture of her great songs from american life to vogue to evita era. If you love live music buy this madonna combo the documentary is just the best from auditioning her dancers to the end performance just beautiful. Absolutely love this item. Good on you Madonna and please release more live music you definatley rock!!!
