Ever since I purchased "O Espirito Da Paz" back in 1996 I've collected every Madredeus album and none of them including this one doesn't disappoint. Now I don't know Portuguese nor do I care to learn it. And although I have absolutely no idea what Teresa Salgueiro is singing. Truth is, I don't think I ever want to know, for me some things are better left unsaid. Sometimes I'd like to think Teresa is singing about something so beautiful, that it can't be expressed in words, and it can make your heart ache because of it. Sometimes listening to Madredeus is likened to some beautiful bird flapping into your drab little world and making all of your worries magically disappear, and for even the briefest of moments, you, yourself can feel freer than a bird.
