Free Music Notes for If You Can Believe Your Eyes & EarsFree Music Review: a groundbreaking album Hit: 5 Stars
This is a groundbreaking album with dazzling vocal harmonies that likely inspired later groups such as The Cowsills, and even Abba and The Carpenters in the choice of covering a Beatles song with different arrangement as The Carpenters did with "Ticket To Ride" early in their career. Not to be missed.
Free Music Review: 5 Stars Plus!!! Hit: 5 Stars

THIS IS THE M&P'S FIRST ALBUM EFFORT - ONE THAT SHOT TO THE TOP OF THE CHARTS JUST WEEKS AFTER IT'S RELEASE. EVEN A PASSING M&P FAN HAS GOT TO HAVE THIS IN THEIR COLLECTION. IT'S GREAT!
Free Music Review: OUTSTANDING! Hit: 5 Stars
I had this "album" as a teenager (40+ years ago) and I LOVED it. I just logged in to Amazon to check out the 60's CDs and found this one by the Mama's and Papa's. I HAVE to have it!
Free Music Review: The MCA 1996 Reissue Hit: 3 Stars
This along with the Beatles' Revolver I played twice the first time I heard it. (Both albums also run the same playing time) This is a great record you can listen to on a sunny day in your bedroom or while strolling around the suburbs. My favourite track would be Do You Wanna Dance, Denny's amazing in this song. My least favourite is Hey Girl because it sounds flat compared to the other songs in the album. It's still a good song though.
I give this CD three stars because I'm not happy with the remaster. There are hisses and I believe they could have done better. There are no lyrics, no words from the band (three of them are still alive by 1996) and few pictures!
The booklet isn't something to write home about either. You have the original front cover. You can have a nice view of the toilet with all its tioletish glory. Inside there's a note about the other cover (the one where they pasted something on the toilet). Then there's a liner note about the remastered edition. In the corner we get some few words from Lou Adler, the producer, about how he got the name of the album. Then we have the original liner notes, which is kind of cute. We have some description about each member. Michelle Philips the "quiet type"? hmmm... Last page has some personel info and writing credits. At the back we have another picture of the band, kind of sluggish.
The CD design is nice, the same as the back cover.
