Finally, a comprehensive "greatest hits" albums for one of the more bizzare and troubled, yet phenomenally talented groups of the 60s and early 70s. What's not to like about this album, the remastered sound is superb, the unforgettable singles are upbeat, catchy, and (in hindsight) surprisingly good in terms of arrangement and orchestration, and the not so well known tunes are fine too. Indispensible for anyone who grew up on 60s music, and if your experience is like mine, your kids will love it too.Free Music Review: she fell in love with me all over again

This is an "oldie" but very, very "goodie". I heard a story on NPR about Momma Cass and the song "Dream a Little Dream" which I had not heard for decades. Of course I found it easily at Amazon. I decided to give the CD to my sweetheart who aspires to be a successful Karaoke singer (she already is a great RN nurse). Boy was that a good move! We've listened to the CD and the song many times and she is working to put it in her repertoire. Thank you Amazon.com

This arrangement of songs from The Mamas&The Papas is a worthwhile find for the devotees of this group and for listeners who enjoy the sounds of the 1960's. The rock music from the West Coast in the late sixties,early seventies is unique in it's folksy capacity to tell a story while being musically entertaining. The Mamas&The Papas,along with The Grateful Dead and The Doors,are among the elite of this genere. I enthusiastically recommend this CD. The music is beautiful. This CD is the best thing since white bread....it brought back all those memories and feeling from thos way back then days --of MAMMA CASS and the harmonies of the MAMMAS AND THE PAPPAS !!!

The Mamas and the Papas had and still have, the best sound in Folk music. When you play their music, it has a unique sound that makes you want to sit back and reminise about a time when music was re-defining itself in the country. Each song you hear makes you want to hear it over and over again, while todays music has mainly, one or two good songs on an album or CD> Great group for all ages to enjoy including future generations.
