Free Music Notes for Man of La Mancha: A Decca Broadway Original Cast Album (Original 1965 Broadway Cast)Free Music Review: This cd reached that unreachable star Hit: 5 Stars
If you didn't get the title, then you've never heard the Impossible Dream (from this CD of course). The music is beautiful. Its a different style from most broadway musicals, its more melodic. Richard Kiley is the one true Don Quixote. In other words, no one could ever match his amazing performance. In other words, buy it...you'll love it.
Free Music Review: Pure magic! Hit: 5 Stars
Saw the stage production at a dinner theater recently and I loved it - had to get the cast album. The singers are unparalleled in all subsequent productions. I especially love "I, Don Quixote," "The Impossible Dream," and the haunting "Dulcinea." You will not be disappointed.
Free Music Review: Brings back memories Hit: 5 Stars
When I was 15, I took a School Field trip to The Martin Beck Theatre in NYC to see this play on Broadway. This CD rekindled the joy and satisfaction of that day many years ago. I enjoyed it then, and I enjoy it now. One of the best. Thank you Miss Brach , wherever you are ,for taking us on that field trip.
Free Music Review: Kiley is the best Hit: 5 Stars
If you love Man of La Mancha and haven't heard this recording, then you must order it now. Kiley is just an amazing Quixote. This isn't the best scored recording ever, but it has a charm that other versions lack. Sancho is particularly funny on this CD.
Free Music Review: Wonderful.... Hit: 5 Stars
Just took a trip down memory lane with this album... and had to get out the tissues at the end when Aldonza is trying to remind Don Quixote who he is. One of my favorite musicals. Wondering why I waited so long to get the soundtrack!
