Free Music Notes for Revolución de amor

Free Music Review: Good Album, but I expect 5 stars from Mana
Hit: 4 Stars

I'm a huge Maná fan, and when I first listened to this CD, I admit I was a bit disappointed. It IS starting to grow on me, though. I was particularly impressed with "Porque Te Vas" As far as I know, this is the first song Mana has recorded that was written by Sergio, and he does the vocals, as well. I've probably listened to that song, along with "Pobre Juan" and "Mariposa Traicionera" hundredes of times this past week. Those are my three favorite songs on the album, and I'm starting to really like some of the other songs, as well.

I'm a little worried that Maná may be going downhill, unfortunately. When I compare it to "Donde Jugarán los Niños" and "Cuando Lloren los Angeles", I'm a little disappointed. Between those two albums, there are maybe only 1 or 2 songs that I don't absolutely love. 95% of the songs on those albums are amazing. On "Falta Amor" and "Sueños Liquidos", I'd say 80% of the songs are incredible. Right now, I only like about half of the songs on "Revolucion de Amor". I hope the others grow on me! I'll be interested to see what they do next...

Free Music Review: from a musicians point of view
Hit: 4 Stars

This is a slower cd with more of a message than the other cds. As a musician I have always loved them, they are amazing. This cd is different because it forces you to listen to what is said. For those who think they dont grow you dont know much. Its very easy to change your style and make it seem like you grew though you never did. Mana is a band that grows within their style which is very hard. This is a different cd from the others regardless of what others think. Buy this and you will appreciate great talent and musical content. Mana is Mana and that is what makes them great. If you are jealous because your fav band is not so big it is probably because they suck. So stop writing hateful reviews.

Free Music Review: Eres Mi Religion!
Hit: 4 Stars

I know I'm supposed to review the entire album here, but damn "Eres Mi Religion" has got to be one of the best Latin Pop songs I've ever heard - just fantastic! The entire album is very good. I like about half of the songs, the other half so-so, but there is nothing bad on the album. I read a review whereby the reviewer (from Peru) felt that Mana (and other artists) were "sell-outs" I think basically is what he was implying. Listen again, amigo! Mana is very talented and they are very inspired musicians and this comes out very clearly on their albums.

"Eres Mi Religion" has to be one of my all-time favorite tracks in Latin music. The lyrics, the vocals, the harmony - A+

Free Music Review: very good cd
Hit: 4 Stars

A very good cd. It's a lot like the last two studio albums, I needed a couple days to let it grow on me. I didn't feel like I could write a review after just one listen. In the end, I am hooked...so much that I'm buying a plane ticket to go see them in concert 1000 miles away.

I like the fact that Alex and Sergio have vocals on a couple songs--makes the cd a bit more diverse and it works well.

The first couple of listens of "Justica, Tierra, y Libertad" I thought, "How can this be the lead track?" Now, I'm humming the lyrics as if it's my own philosophical and political creed. It sinks in very powerful after a few listens.

Free Music Review: Very Good
Hit: 4 Stars

I liked this CD; so did my friends. The selections offer something for everyone, and, unlike Cuando Los Angeles Lloran, I like every song on this album. Mana has grown up with their fans, fans from all over the world. You get a bit of everything in this CD. If you like fast, drum-driven beats, you got it. If you want hypnotic classical guitar a la Vallin, you got it. If you want traditional Mexico-tinged melodies, you got it. I love Mana and cannot wait to see them live during their upcoming US tour. And, I cannot wait to see their live renditions of songs from Revolucion De Amor!
