As an owner of all of Manheim Steamroller's Christmas CDs, I always find myself listening to this one the most. Every track is pure Christmas joy! From the thunderous "Hark! The Herald Angels" and "Carol of the Bells" to the Gregorian "O Come, O Come Emanuel" to the beautiful strings on "Greensleeves", "Christmas Traditions" and "O Holy Night"; this CD is magic. From a brisk refreshing opening to the last cut, "Cantique De Noel," Chip Davis, et al., have a masterpiece of newly interpreted "oldies but goodies" in this album. My favorite cuts are "Veni, Veni" and "Still, Still, Still." These take me back to my boy singing days, before Midnight Mass -- happy memories. I've owned this album since its release in 1988-89. Bought it originally on cassette - then on CD. I keep having to re-buy this CD every few years because I play it so much, that I wear it out. Unmistakeably the best Christmas album ever. My favorite track is their rendition of Veni Veni Emmanuel. I cry everytime - I mean - everytime - I listen to it. This CD is a wonderful choice if you are looking for a Christmas CD. This CD along wth their 1983 release are two wonderful CD to buy. The song Still Still Still is quite beautiful and at times I find myself listening to it during non-Christmas times. The Holly and the Ivy is another nice one. Most of songs have me picturing snow falling and everyone busily decorating a tree in a cabin. Back to the CD it's a really great CD.Free Music Review: Truly beautiful and magical

I get goosebumps when I start playing this (well, winter in Minnesota will do that...). Not only does it remind me of the magical time of year, but also of my dad, who got me and my sisters and "in to" Mannheim Steamroller. My faves on this CD are "The Holly and The Ivy" and "O Holy Night". The whole CD is wonderful and is perfect for just having the Christmas lights on and sipping nog.
