Well, well, well. Looks like Davis is having some trouble pleasing the masses this year. Check out the ratings for Christmasville vs. Christmas Song. I blithered on 2 years ago with my thoughts and color commentary on Song. Not gonna do that with 'Ville. I listened to it once on Rhapsody (for free...well, there's a monthly charge for the service) and I got nothing to say, except maybe "ick". Davis continues to piece together canned stuff that has already been recorded into supposedly new music. Listen close to 'Ville and Halloween. Sound familiar?
Hmmm. Apparently this thing won't let me post a review without rating the item. That's no good. One it is!

If you love Mannheim Steamroller and are a huge fan like myself, do not waste your money on this cd - especially if you are expecting to hear the
beautiful quality of previous Chip Davis Christmas recordings. This was a "throw together" produced to generate Christmas sales in 2008 - a huge
disappointment. Way too short in length for a full-priced cd and several of
the tracks are not recognizable Steamroller. This cd will end up in the "bargain-basement" rack of your favorite record store in the near future. Buy it then - if you must own it. Hopefully Chip will come up with something much better in 2009 !!

If you love Mannheim Steamroller like my family and I do, avoid this album at all costs! There is only one Mannheim Steamroller performed song on it and it belongs with Chip's other greats. The rest are a bunch of Universal Studios singers with non-Mannheim Steamroller music behind them. Chip may have produced this for universal but he made sure that none of the songs(except Messengers of Christmas) even remotely sound like the Steamroller. As most of the other reviewers have pointed out, this is NOT a traditional Mannheim Steamroller album. In the past, I've bought MS albums sound unheard and have only been disappointed with Halloween. I absolutely LOVE MS's past work, especially the earlier material. Perhaps my tastes are going in a different direction than Chip's. In the future, I guess I need to be a little more discriminating and read the editorial description and listen to the samples before purchasing.Free Music Review: Big disappointment

Terrible, disappointing, I am sorry that I bought 3 of these cd's for Christmas gifts. I am a 10+ year Mannheim fan, have almost all their CD's/DVD's and driven 3 hours to attend concerts. I give all new CD's to my 2 sons and their families when they are released. Thus when I heard about Christmasville, I ordered 3 cd's. Today I listened to it and was very disappointed. I do not think that I will give them to my sons. Money
and time wasted.
