Free Music Review: Good if you ain't a feared of saying "Christmas"

Now if you ask me, and a number of fans of prog-rock do now and again, This here Mannheim Steamroller album is about the best background music you might could put on your hi fi while you and the family rip through the wrappin' paper on your pile of gifts on Christmas morning. We flipped a coin this morning to see it was going to be the Cledus T. Judd Christmas album, the Bruce Cockburn Christmas album, or this one. Junior got to flip and it came up heads, but because we was debatin' betwixt three different albums we didn't know what to do, so the twins suggested we play all three and they picked this album to be played first. We put it on and commenced to rippin' paper and slingin' bows around the room while Junior sat off to himself and contemplated why he couldn't get the coin flip to work with three albums.
This album filled our double wide trailer with the Christmas Spirit, as opposed to the generic "holiday" spirit. If you ain't offended by calling "Christmas" by the name "Christmas" then this album is probably for you. However, if you don't like the sound of moogs playing Bach and if you are one of them modern day Scrooge characters who is afraid to embrace Christmas for what it actually is... then give it a miss and go ahead on over to some other section of Amazon and hunt yourself up a record over there. I can't tell you how wearisome them folk are that shy away from something such as Christmas simply because they are all caught up in attempting to be sensitive of folks from cultures what don't celebrate the holiday. Then they commence to wishing folk "season's greetings" and the like... while "season's greetings" could appropriately fit the summer season, or the fishin' season, or the Baseball season.... I'm fixin' to get worked up here and lose my train of thought.
Anyway, Mama and the twins sure enough do appreciate this album. The Cledus T Judd album is on right now as I write, but I wanted to get this review in right away while the Mannheim Steamroller mood was still floatin' around in my noggin'. They are good and they done whittled themselves out a niche in the Christmas marketplace where they can sell their quality products to a seasonal audience interested in getting just exactly what is on offer, and boy howdy is this an offer. They got all the right Christmas music to fill the trailer with joy... so much so that you'd think we had frankincense burring in that pottery incense burner Junior won from that smelly hippy at the carnival last year.
